Justin Garza RP | NYM
Mets' Justin Garza: Dealt to Mets
Garza was traded from the Giants to the Mets in exchange for cash considerations Saturday.
Garza has spent the entire 2025 season with Triple-A Sacramento. His 6.11 ERA and 1.51 WHIP don't paint an optimistic outlook, but a 20:6 K:BB across 17.2 innings suggests he's pitched better than his results. Garza should serve as depth in the minor leagues for the Mets.

Cristian Mena SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Cristian Mena: Lands on IL with shoulder injury
The Diamondbacks placed Mena on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a right shoulder strain.
Mena may have strained his right shoulder during Friday's suspended game against the Reds, when he gave up a walk and a solo home run while striking out one batter in one inning. Christian Montes De Oca has been appointed the 27th man for Saturday's contest, but it's unclear whether the Diamondbacks have another move in place to bolster their bullpen in the absence of Mena. Mena will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury and establish an estimated timeline for his return.

Christian Montes De Oca RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Christian Montes De Oca: Serving as 27th man
Montes De Oca will serve as the 27th man for the Diamondbacks in Saturday's game against the Reds.
With Friday's suspended game being finished Saturday, Montes De Oca has been brought in to replenish the Diamondbacks' bullpen, and an appearance in Saturday's game would mark the 25-year-old right-hander's major-league debut. Montes De Oca has 4.07 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, two saves and a 26:6 K:BB across 24.1 innings with Triple-A Reno this season.

Joe La Sorsa RP | BOS
Reds' Joe La Sorsa: Serving as 27th man
The Reds appointed La Sorsa as the 27th man for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.
With Friday's suspended game resuming Saturday, the Reds will replenish their bullpen by adding La Sorsa as their extra player. He has spent the entire 2025 season with Triple-A Louisville, where he has a 3.92 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 14:14 K:BB across 20.2 innings.

Isaac Mattson RP | PIT
Pirates' Isaac Mattson: Recalled by Pittsburgh
The Pirates recalled Mattson from Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.
Mattson has appeared in three games for the Pirates this season, but he has spent most of the year in Triple-A, where he has a 2.42 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, four saves and a 27:6 K:BB across 22.1 innings. He'll take the spot in the Pirates' bullpen vacated by Joey Wentz, who was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Connor Thomas RP | KC
Brewers' Connor Thomas: Suffers setback during rehab
Thomas has been shut down from throwing and is "back to square one" in his recovery from an elbow injury, David Gasper of Athlon Sports reports.
Thomas has been on the IL since early April due to a left elbow injury. Per Gasper, the lefty reliever had loose bodies appear in the affected elbow in late May, and he's now being re-evaluated. It appears Thomas could remain out of action for a significant amount of additional time.

Jose Ruiz RP | TEX
Braves' Jose Ruiz: Remaining in NL East
Atlanta claimed Ruiz off waivers from Philadelphia on Saturday.
Ruiz was designated for assignment by the Phillies last weekend and will now join his fourth MLB organization over the past three seasons. The veteran reliever struggled during his time with Philadelphia this season, posting an 8.16 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB over 14.1 frames. Ruiz will likely take on a low-leverage role in Atlanta's bullpen while he tries to get better results with his new club.

Joey Wentz SP | ATL
Pirates' Joey Wentz: DFA'd by Pittsburgh
The Pirates designated Wentz for assignment Saturday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Wentz has pitched in 19 games for the Pirates this season, posting a 4.15 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 22:11 K:BB over 26 innings. His last outing took place back on May 27, when he earned a win in relief by throwing 3.2 innings of one-run ball. Per Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com, both righty reliever Isaac Mattson and catcher Brett Sullivan have lockers in Pittsburgh's clubhouse Saturday, so it sounds like additional moves are forthcoming.

Chris Stratton RP | LAD
Dodgers' Chris Stratton: DFA'd again
The Dodgers designated Stratton for assignment Saturday.
This is the second time Stratton has been designated for assignment in the past week -- he was previously DFA'd on Monday but cleared waivers and was outrighted to the minors before rejoining the big-league squad Friday. In his latest turn with the team, Stratton allowed one run in one inning against the Cardinals on Friday. Stratton's removal from the 40-man roster makes room for the activation of fellow reliever Michael Kopech (shoulder) from the 60-day IL.
-
Kirby Yates RP | PIT
Dodgers' Kirby Yates: Comes off injured list Saturday
The Dodgers activated Yates (hamstring) off the 15-day injured list Saturday.
Yates went on the IL due to a hamstring injury May 18 and didn't end up needing a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated. The veteran reliever should immediately move back to a high-leverage role in the Dodgers' bullpen and could get some save chances with Tanner Scott having some uneven outings of late and the team not committed to a full-time closer. Yates' activation was part of a series of pitching roster moves by Los Angeles on Saturday, as the club also activated Michael Kopech (shoulder) from the 60-day IL, designated reliever Chris Stratton for assignment and placed starter Tony Gonsolin (elbow) on the 15-day injured list.
