Diamondbacks' Drey Jameson: Another bullpen scheduled
Jameson (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Paul Sewald RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Paul Sewald: Disappoints again Monday
Sewald blew a save against Atlanta on Monday, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out one batter over one inning.
Sewald entered in the top of the ninth with Arizona holding a two-run lead and retired the first two batters he faced. However, he couldn't seal the deal, giving up a single followed by a game-tying two-run homer off the bat of Sean Murphy. The blown save was Sewald's third straight, and he's allowed seven runs on seven hits while serving up three homers over 1.2 innings during that span. Sewald had completed 17 straight scoreless appearances prior to the downturn, and manager Torey Lovullo confirmed after the contest that the veteran reliever will remain the team's closer for the time being, per Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic.

Joe Jimenez RP | ATL
Braves' Joe Jimenez: Nails down save Monday
Jimenez earned a save against the Diamondbacks on Monday, allowing one walk and striking out one batter in one scoreless inning.
Primary closer Raisel Iglesias worked the ninth and 10th frames, so Atlanta turned to Jimenez to close things out after the team scored in the top of the 11th. The veteran right-hander issued a one-out walk but kept Arizona off the scoreboard to earn the save. Jimenez has been one of Atlanta's top high-leverage options this season with two saves and 17 holds along with a 2.31 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB over 35 frames. Iglesias should continue to get the vast majority of the save chances moving forward, but Jimenez appears to be among the team's top closing options when the former is unavailable or used in a different capacity.

Drew Smith RP | WAS
Mets' Drew Smith: Headed for surgery
Smith will undergo surgery to repair a tear in his right UCL on Friday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Smith sought a second opinion and ultimately won't be able to avoid going under the knife after being diagnosed with a significant tear in his right UCL. However, it remains to be determined if he'll require Tommy John surgery or an internal brace procedure, which would likely result in a quicker recovery. Smith is scheduled to meet with Dr. Keith Meister on Thursday to determine a plan of attack for the procedure.

JT Chargois RP | TEX
Marlins' JT Chargois: Nabs first win of season
Chargois (1-0) picked up the win Sunday over the White Sox, giving up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning.
The right-hander was called in with the Marlins down 4-3 in the top of the ninth, and Chargois got rewarded for his efforts when Jake Burger walked it off with a three-run homer in the bottom of the frame. Chargois has been very effective since making his season debut in mid-June, posting a 1.69 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB through 10.2 innings, and he could be working his way into the high-leverage mix for the Marlins.
