Andrew Nardi RP | MIA
Marlins' Andrew Nardi: Struggles with command
Nardi (hand) recorded one out and allowed one run on one hit and two walks while striking out one in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Phillies.
Nardi was removed from an Aug. 30 relief outing against the Rays when he was struck on the left hand by a comebacker, but he avoided a trip to the injured list and has since made three relief appearances. He's picked up one win and two holds in those appearances and is now maintaining a 2.94 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across 49 innings on the season.

Andre Jackson RP | PIT
Pirates' Andre Jackson: Allows four runs in defeat
Jackson (1-3) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks over four innings against Washington. He struck out one.
A CJ Abrams home run plated two for the Nationals in the third, then Jackson was removed after laboring through the fourth in allowing two more runs on two hits and two walks. Jackson had been pitching well since arriving in Pittsburgh with a 2.92 ERA in his first 24.2 innings, but his ERA has jumped to 5.51 after allowing 10 runs in 8.1 innings over his last two starts. He'll look to rebound in his next appearance, currently scheduled to take place over the weekend in a home series against the Yankees.

JT Chargois RP | TEX
Marlins' JT Chargois: Serving as opener Tuesday
Chargois will open Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Chargois is no stranger to this role, as he opened Wednesday's game against the Dodgers nearly one week ago. He'll likely only be asked to work the first inning before handing the ball to a primary pitcher. McPherson expects Edward Cabrera to serve as the bulk reliever Tuesday.

Wander Suero RP | ATH
Dodgers' Wander Suero: Sent to IL
Suero was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday due to lower-back tightness.
It's unclear as to when Suero first started to experience back tightness, but he'll be shut down for at least the next 15 days. Gavin Stone was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

Kirby Yates RP | LAA
Braves' Kirby Yates: PIcks up extra-inning save
Yates picked up the save Monday against Philadelphia, striking out two in a perfect inning.
Closer Raisel Iglesias entered the ninth with a save opportunity but allowed the Phillies to tie the game and send it to extras. When Atlanta reclaimed the lead, Yates needed only 14 pitches to slam the door and earn his fourth save of the season. While save opportunities are rare, Yates holds a 2.75 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 75 strikeouts in 55.2 innings as he maintains a high-leverage role in the backend of the Atlanta bullpen.

Michael Fulmer RP | SF
Cubs' Michael Fulmer: Activated from injured list
Fulmer (forearm) was activated from the injured list Monday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Fulmer did not encounter any issues after landing on the injured list in late August, and he will be back in Chicago's bullpen moving forward. Closer Adbert Alzolay (forearm) was placed on the injured list in the corresponding move, so roles are set to change at the back end of the bullpen. Fulmer could be in the mix for saves, but he's likely behind a fellow reliever or two.

Adbert Alzolay RP | NYM
Cubs' Adbert Alzolay: Lands on injured list
Alzolay was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday retroactive to Sept. 10 with a right forearm strain, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Alzolay was bothered by an unspecified injury earlier this month and was not particularly sharp over his last few outings, and it turns out he is dealing with an issue that will cost him at least a couple weeks of action. The Cubs turned to Julian Merryweather for the save Sunday, so he is seemingly the favorite to work as the closer during Alzolay's absence.

Daysbel Hernandez RP | ATL
Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: Transferred to 60-day IL
Hernandez (forearm) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday.
Hernandez apparently has not made much progress since landing on the 15-day injured list in early August, and Atlanta moved him to the longer of the two injured lists to open up a spot on the 40-man roster for the returning Kyle Wright.

Dylan Lee RP | ATL
Braves' Dylan Lee: Goes back to Gwinnett
Lee was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett following Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader with the Phillies.
Lee tossed eight pitches in the opener of Monday's twin bill, and he wound up ceding his roster spot to fellow pitcher Kyle Wright afterward. Lee has fared well with the big-league club for a couple years, so chances are he will rejoin Atlanta again before the season comes to a close.
