Garcia (2-2) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three hits and two walks over six scoreless innings in a 5-0 win over Tampa Bay. He struck out seven.

Garcia hasn't allowed a run over his last two starts, striking out 16 in that span, after starting the year 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA in his first three outings. It certainly appears that his early season struggles are behind him, as the 26-year-old righty lowered his ERA to 4.00 with a 1.26 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB after shutting down the first-place Rays on Tuesday. Garcia will look to keep his scoreless streak going in his next start, tentatively lined up to come next week against the Giants.

Angels manager Phil Nevin said Tuesday that Suarez will remain in the team's rotation on a start-by-start basis, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Suarez's start to the season has certainly been less than ideal -- he holds a 10.26 ERA and 2.28 WHIP through his first four starts. After allowing five homers and seven earned runs against Oakland on Monday, his leash has now been tightened even further. Nevin said he liked what he saw from Suarez after making some adjustments in the fourth inning Monday, so the 25-year-old lefty will keep his spot in the rotation for now. However, one more subpar performance might result in him being demoted to the bullpen or even Triple-A Salt Lake.

Gilbert's start was pushed back to Wednesday because he felt muscle spasms in the scapula area while working out Sunday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Gilbert was supposed to take the hill against the Phillies on Tuesday, but the Mariners will have the right-hander move back a day as a precautionary move. Divish notes the right-hander threw in Philadelphia on Monday and felt fine, but the Mariners won't take any chances with the 25-year-old. Marco Gonzales is starting Tuesday's series opener in Gilbert's absence.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Tuesday the plan is for Rodon (back) to throw off the mound Friday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Rodon was able to play catch Sunday and now will be ready to throw a bullpen as he continues to make progress from his forearm strain and back injury. The southpaw will likely need to throw several bullpens before beginning his rehab assignment, and he could be making starts for the Yankees in the middle of May if everything goes smoothly.

Skubal (elbow) is completing a throwing progression and will throw a bullpen this week, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Skubal is playing catch for a week before being schedule to throw his first bullpen since undergoing left flexor tendon surgery. It's a major step forward for the southpaw in his hope to return to the Detroit rotation in the summer months. Because of how much time he's missed, Skubal will likely need to make a handful of rehab appearances on top of completing several bullpens before he's a rotation option.

The White Sox list Giolito (personal) as their starting pitcher for Friday's game against the Rays, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Giolito may not join the White Sox for the final two games of their series in Toronto to begin the week, but he won't have to miss a turn through the rotation after being placed on the bereavement list Monday. He'll be in store for a rematch with the Rays in Chicago after he was tagged for four earned runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings his last time out in Tampa Bay over the weekend.

Manning (foot) will begin a throwing progression Wednesday, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

After fracturing a bone in his right foot earlier this month, Manning's fast return to throwing is a good sign that he will be able to return to the mound relatively soon. There is still no official timetable for the 25-year-old righty, but he is hopeful he can return in late May.

Oakland recalled Medina from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Medina will be brought up to make a start against the Angels on Wednesday. The right-hander forged a 3.86 ERA with an 11:8 K:BB and 1.39 WHIP over his 9.1 innings with Las Vegas in three appearances. Medina has shown the potential to miss bats in the minors, but he'll be a risky streaming option in his MLB debut.

Kaprielian was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Kaprielian has struggled mightily for the Athletics to begin the 2023 campaign while allowing 23 runs in 16 innings to register a 12.94 ERA with an unhealthy 18:14 K:BB in his six appearances. He'll head down to the Pacific Coast League to hopefully work out the kinks. Luis Medina has been recalled from Las Vegas to take his place on the roster.

McCullers (forearm) threw 20-to-30 pitches from the front of the bullpen mound at Tropicana Field on Tuesday, Brian Murphy of MLB.com reports.

Assuming he bounces back from the workout with no issues, McCullers might be ready for a normal bullpen session the next time he's scheduled to throw. The veteran right-hander has been brought along slowly since his nagging forearm issue flared up on him again back in mid-February. He'll need multiple rehab starts before rejoining the Houston rotation, so McCullers is still several weeks away from being activated from the 15-day injured list.
