Berrios (5-2) allowed three runs (one earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven across 5.2 innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Orioles.

Berrios got himself into trouble in the second inning by surrendering two singles and a walk, but he avoided being charged for the pair of runs scored due to an error by Andrelton Simmons. He had little trouble with the Orioles' lineup otherwise, and he earned his fifth win of the season. Through 10 starts, Berrios has maintained a 3.67 ERA and a strong 63:17 K:BB across 56.1 innings. He currently projects to draw his next start Monday in a rematch at Baltimore.

Skubal (1-7) was charged with the loss Tuesday against Cleveland after allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out nine over five innings.

For the second straight start, Skubal whiffed a season-high-tying nine batters, throwing 55 of 93 pitches for strikes this time around. After giving up a leadoff solo homer to Cesar Hernandez in the first inning, the 24-year-old straightened things out until faltering slightly in the fourth inning when he gave up a single, a double and a run-scoring groundout. Per usual, Skubal did not receive enough run support from his teammates, saddling him with his seventh loss of the year, tied for the most in the majors. Still, his 5.23 ERA and 1.51 WHIP aren't doing the southpaw any favors. Skubal has a tough battle ahead in his next projected start Sunday against the Yankees.

Civale (7-1) earned the win Tuesday after holding Detroit to one run on six hits and a walk while striking out six across eight innings.

Civale actually blanked the Tigers until the ninth inning, when he remained in the game in pursuit of a complete-game shutout. Unfortunately, he gave up a leadoff single followed by a walk, prompting his exit following his 104th pitch. The bullpen then allowed one of his baserunners to score, charging him with a run. It was the longest outing of the season for the right-hander, who has held his opponent to a single run on four occasions. With his seventh win, Civale has entered a tie for second in the majors. Now sporting a 3.04 ERA and 1.00 WHIP, the 25-year-old is slated for a home matchup against Toronto on Sunday.

Manager Chris Woodward said Allard is the likely candidate to make a spot start in place of Kyle Gibson (groin), Sam Blum of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Allard is working as a reliever this season, but he's poised for a spot start with Gibson on the injured list. Allard has a 3.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB over 20 innings this season. The left-hander regularly pitches multiple innings and has covered three frames on two separate occasions, though he's unlikely to have a full starter's workload if he does make a start.

Kluber was removed from Tuesday's start against the Blue Jays with tightness in his right shoulder.

The 35-year-old didn't appear to be in any obvious discomfort Tuesday but was pulled after three innings due to the shoulder issue -- he allowed two runs on two hits and three walks while fanning five en route to his third loss of the season. Kluber will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity and specifics of the injury. The veteran right-hander was limited to one inning last season due to a muscle tear in his right shoulder, so there's some obvious concern regarding Tuesday's departure.

Kluber was removed from Tuesday's start against the Blue Jays after three innings for undisclosed reasons, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

The 35-year-old surrendered two runs on two hits and three walks while recording five strikeouts over three innings, and he didn't appear to be dealing with any obvious injury. Kluber threw 58 pitches before leaving the contest, and it's unclear if his next turn through the rotation will be affected by the situation.

Springs (4-1) secured the victory in an extra-innings win over the Blue Jays on Monday, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits while recording three strikeouts over two innings.

Springs surrendered a game-tying two-run home run to Marcus Semien in the bottom of the 10th, but he still walked away with his fourth win thanks to the Rays racking up seven runs in the top of the 11th. Springs has allowed at least one earned run in three of his past four trips to the mound, but his ratios are still solid (3.32 ERA, 1.06 WHIP).

Gibson was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right groin strain.

The righty gave no indication that he was hurt in his six-inning, one-run outing Friday against the Astros, so it's not entirely clear whether he suffered the injury during the game. Gibson has logged a ton of innings this season, going at least six innings in all but one of his 10 starts. Pitchers Demarcus Evans and Wes Benjamin were recalled Tuesday to fill the spots of Gibson and Hunter Wood (elbow), who also went to the injured list.

Maeda (groin) may end up spending more than the minimum 10 days on the injured list as the Twins look to ensure he's 100 percent healthy before activating him, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Minnesota moved Maeda to the IL on Sunday after he was diagnosed with a right adductor strain, an injury related to the groin tightness he had been managing heading into both of his most recent two starts. Though Maeda has shown the ability to pitch through discomfort in the past, the Twins don't want to bring him back too soon and risk the adductor strain becoming something that nags the right-hander throughout the season. Randy Dobnak is expected to stick in the rotation as Minnesota's fifth starter until Maeda is deemed fit to return.

Kopech blanked the Cardinals over two innings of relief in a 5-1 win Monday. He struck out three and gave up two hits with no walks in the 28-pitch outing.

Kopech protected Chicago's four-run lead during the final two frames after starter Lance Lynn exited following seven innings of one-run ball. After the scoreless appearance, Kopech's ERA now sits at 1.78 over 30.1 innings, with the right-hander having piled up 45 strikeouts across his 13 outings. The White Sox have no immediate plans to move Kopech into the rotation, but his sterling ratios out of the bullpen are enough to make him worthy of rostering in just about any fantasy league.
