Bubic (1-6) allowed one unearned run on one hit and four walks while striking out seven out to take the loss against the Brewers on Saturday.

Bubic was a tough-luck loser with the only run he allowed coming on a throwing error by Nicky Lopez. The only other downside to his outing was the four free passes, as only 59 of his 101 pitches found the strike zone. Bubic had shown better command of his pitches of late, walking only five batters across his last 17.1 frames prior to Saturday's start. Through 45.1 total innings, Bubic has maintained a 3.97 ERA with a 44:19 K:BB. He'll make the final start of his rookie campaign Thursday against Detroit.

Lynn gave up three runs on seven hits and struck out five over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Saturday.

Lynn was decent Saturday, but he exited with the game tied at 3-3. It was the first time in six starts the veteran right-hander didn't issue a walk. Lynn has been fantastic this year with a 2.53 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 84 strikeouts and a 6-2 record over 78.1 innings. Lynn is expected to make his last start of the regular season Thursday versus the Astros.

Heaney gave up three runs on six hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Saturday.

Heaney got his mistakes out of the way in the first inning, when he gave up a solo shot to Leody Taveras and a two-run homer to Rougned Odor. The Angels got Heaney off the hook by tying the game in the fifth. The southpaw has a 4.02 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 67 strikeouts across 62.2 innings this season. He'll carry a 4-3 record into his final start of the regular season, which is currently expected to be Friday against the Dodgers.

Javier allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six across four innings Saturday against the Diamondbacks. He did not factor into the decision.

Javier had his strikeout pitch working, as he racked up 15 called strikes and 10 swinging strikes on 77 total pitches, and his six strikeouts were the most he's had in his last nine starts. On the other hand, he was undone by leadoff hitters, as Kole Calhoun took him yard to open the second frame. The following inning, he allowed a leadoff double to Daulton Varsho, who later came around to score. Javier has now maintained a 3.33 ERA with a 48:17 K:BB across 48.2 innings for the season. He'll line up to take his final start of the campaign Thursday at Texas.

Garcia allowed a hit but struck out the side in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Detroit's 5-2 victory over the Indians on Saturday.

Garcia has three saves in three opportunities this season, all of which have come in his last six appearances. He lowered his ERA to 1.35 in the process and is making a compelling case to complete the season as the Tigers closer.

Turnbull struck out seven and gave up two runs on five hits over six innings in a 5-2 win over the Indians on Saturday.

After having just two quality starts in his first eight outings, Turnbull has recorded two over his last three starts. He dropped his ERA to 3.83 with the performance and lines up to face the Royals on Friday.

McKenzie pitched four innings Saturday, allowing one run on six hits and three walks in a 5-2 loss to the Tigers. He also struck out three.

McKenzie threw 79 pitches (48 for strikes) and had a 2-1 lead prior to getting pulled. Concern is rising in the baseball community about the health of the young stud, as he averaged a season-low fastball velocity of 90.6 on Saturday. Additionally, that figure has been declining in each of his six starts. It is a situation worth monitoring.

Luzardo (3-2) earned the win Saturday against the Giants after striking out seven and allowing five hits and zero walks over six scoreless innings.

The young southpaw scattered five singles as he generated 15 swinging strikes on 90 pitches. Luzardo has a 3.86 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 59:14 K:BB through 56 innings and lines up for his final start of the regular season next weekend versus the Mariners.

Keuchel (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Saturday against the Reds.

Keuchel will return to the mound after spending just over 10 days on the injured list while dealing with back spasms. The southpaw was initially slated to rejoin the rotation Thursday, but the slight delay in his return gave him some extra time to recover while lining him up for the playoffs. Keuchel carries a 2.19 ERA and 1.05 WHIP over 53.1 innings this season.

Verlander (forearm) announced Saturday that he'll require Tommy John surgery, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Verlander was making progress in his recovery, but he said that he "felt something in his elbow" during his simulated game Wednesday. As a result, he'll miss significant time. The 37-year-old should miss the entire 2021 season as he carries a recovery timeline of 12-tl-14 months, but he hopes to continue his career when he's healthy, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
