The Tigers' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate placed Swanson on its full-season injured list March 19 while he recovers from Tommy John surgery, Sam Dykstra of MLB.com reports.

A prep righty out of Washington, Swanson received an over-slot $722,500 bonus after being selected in the ninth round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft. His innings will need to be monitored anyway next season, so the Tigers will likely give him plenty of time to recover before he makes his professional debut sometime next summer.

Single-A Lakeland placed Massey on the 7-day injured list with an undisclosed injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.

Massey, a 22-year-old righty, has yet to make his pro debut after the Tigers selected him in the fourth round last year.

The Red Sox optioned Dobbins to Triple-A Worcester on Monday.

The 25-year-old righty will head back to the minors one day after he served as the Red Sox's 27th man for their doubleheader with the Cardinals. He made his MLB debut in the second game of the twin bill, striking out five batters while allowing two earned runs on eight hits and two walks en route to claiming the win in Boston's 18-7 victory. Dobbins will be an option for spot starts with the big club later on this season, though he'll be pushed further down the pecking order once the likes of Brayan Bello (shoulder), Lucas Giolito (hamstring) and Kutter Crawford (knee) are cleared to return from the injured list.

Melton (shoulder) struck out five and allowed one unearned run on two hits and no walks over four innings in his season debut Friday for Double-A Erie.

Melton didn't pitch after Aug. 28 last season after sustaining a right shoulder strain, but the injury looks to be in the rear-view mirror. One of Detroit's better pitching prospects, Melton has shown the ability to make bats miss at a steady clip over his last two seasons in the minors, but he struggled to keep the ball in the yard with Erie in 2024, giving up 19 home runs in 100.2 innings.

The Twins designated McCaughan for assignment Monday.

Despite pitching well over his three relief appearances with the Twins -- he gave up one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out six over 5.1 innings -- McCaughan will be cycled off the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster in favor of a fresher arm in right-hander Scott Blewett, who was called up from Triple-A St. Paul. If McCaughan isn't traded or claimed off waivers, he'll remain in the Twins organization and report back to St. Paul, where he could serve as a swingman.

Estes (0-2) allowed six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three over three innings Sunday to take the loss against the Rockies.

Estes got roughed up for a second straight start, as the Rockies tacked on runs in each inning he pitched. He surrendered a leadoff home run in the first and three more doubles before his day ended. That's now 12 runs allowed on 15 hits over his first seven innings of the season. Estes lines up for a home start against the Mets next weekend should he remain in the rotation going forward.

Dobbins (1-0) allowed two runs on eight hits over five innings in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against St. Louis. He struck out five and earned a win.

Dobbins gave up an RBI double to Brendan Donovan in the first inning and an RBI single to Masyn Winn in the fourth. Overall, Dobbins was able to keep damage limited, and Boston put up 18 runs for an easy win. He threw 63 of 93 pitches for strikes and forced 14 whiffs in his MLB debut, including six with his curveball. Dobbins will likely head back to Triple-A Worcester but could be used as a spot-starter again throughout the season.

Rocker allowed one run on six hits while striking out one over five innings Sunday against the Rays. He did not factor into the decision.

Rocker looked much better Sunday compared to his last start. The Rays scattered six singles off him, which eventually led to a run in the fourth, but Rocker showed great improvement with his command. He finished at 77 pitches and kept the Rangers in a game they went on to win in walk-off style in the ninth. Rocker will look to take the momentum of this positive start with him on the road against the Mariners next weekend.

Rasmussen allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out four in five innings Sunday against the Rangers. He did not factor in the decision.

Rasmussen was fantastic again Sunday and was able to generate a ton of weak contact with his cutter. The Rangers managed just three singles against him, though two of them came in the third, leading to a run. Rasmussen's command continues to be a strength of his. Up until his fourth-inning walk, the 30-year-old righty had not walked a batter in six straight starts. He'll look to keep it rolling in a home start versus Atlanta next weekend.

Woo allowed four runs on five hits and a walk over six innings in a no-decision against the Giants on Sunday. He struck out six during the loss.

Woo cruised through three shutout frames before coughing up four runs in the fourth inning. The biggest hiccup was Mike Yastrzemski's three-run shot. Woo had command of the strike zone Sunday, firing 67 of 89 pitches for strikes. He forced 11 whiffs, including seven with his fastball that averaged 96.4 mph. Woo will carry a 3.75 ERA into his next start, which is projected to be at home next weekend against Texas.
