Hudson allowed two runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out two over six innings in a no-decision versus the Padres.

Hudson threw 52 of 84 pitches for strikes and uncorked two wild pitches, but he avoided significant damage despite the heavy traffic he put on the bases. He's posted quality starts in two of his five outings in September and has given up just two home runs over 27.1 innings on the month. For the season, Hudson has a 4.95 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 42:31 K:BB through 76.1 innings over 17 appearances (11 starts). He's lined up for a road outing in Milwaukee next week to wrap up his season.

Waldron allowed a run on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Friday.

Waldron, who's gone at least five innings in three straight starts, was impressive but didn't get enough run support to pick up the win. His lone mistake resulted in a solo home run by Masyn Winn in the sixth inning. Waldron now has a 4.58 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 29:10 K:BB through 35.1 innings across seven appearances (five starts). The right-hander is lined up for a road outing in San Francisco next week, which would likely be his last of the season.

Walker did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over six innings against the Mets. He struck out four.

Walker pitched well enough Friday night to earn his 11th quality start. The outing was a solid return to form after he had allowed three or more runs over his four previous starts. Walker has a 4.35 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 135:65 K:BB over 165.2 innings in his first season with the Phillies. He is currently slated to make his final start of the regular season next week against the Pirates.

Megill did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out six.

Megill was cruising through five scoreless innings before running out of steam in the sixth, and his potential scoreless outing was undone by a J.T. Realmuto three-run homer. The 28-year-old righty has struggled to the tune of a 4.92 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 98:56 K:BB over 119 innings this season. Megill, who has gone at least five innings in five straight starts but has just one win in that span to show for it, is currently scheduled to make his last start of the year against the Phillies at home.

Corbin (10-14) took the loss Friday, allowing five runs on five hits and one walk over 4.1 innings against Atlanta. He struck out one.

Corbin conceded Ronald Acuna's 40th home run of the year to lead off the game and never recovered. It was a miserable night for the 34-year-old southpaw, as he also matched his season low for strikeouts. Corbin has a 5.13 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 122:53 K:BB over 175.1 innings. He'll look to close out the year on a better note in his last start, currently slated to be a rematch against Atlanta.

Abbott (8-5) did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 4.1 innings in a 7-5 loss against the Pirates. He struck out seven.

Abbott mostly cruised through the first three innings before serving up a solo homer to Ke'Bryan Hayes in the top of the fourth and an additional solo shot to Henry Davis in the top of the fifth. The rookie left-hander still managed to generate a lot of whiffs and will carry a respectable 3.70 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 119:44 K:BB into his final regular-season start next week at Cleveland.

Adon will not start Saturday against Atlanta after the game was postponed due to a severe weather warning.

Saturday's forecast in D.C. is looking ugly, so the two teams have decided to go ahead and stage a doubleheader Sunday instead. Adon should start one of the two games, with Jackson Rutledge handling the other. Neither right-hander offers fantasy streaming appeal versus the NL East champions.

Wright will not start Saturday at Washington after the game was postponed due to severe weather.

Saturday's game will be pushed into a split doubleheader Sunday and Wright should get the call in one of those two tilts. He has allowed 10 earned runs in six innings (two starts) since returning Sept. 11 from a multi-month absence for a shoulder strain, but the 27-year-old can look to find a groove against a Nationals team that struggles badly versus right-handed pitching.

Burnes (10-8) earned the win Friday, allowing two hits and two walks over five scoreless innings against the Marlins. He struck out six.

Burnes was handed a big early lead and went into cruise control against Miami's punchless lineup, yielding only two singles in what was ultimately a 16-1 postseason-clinching victory for Milwaukee. The ace right-hander is lined up to make one final regular-season start next week against the Cardinals, but it could be an abbreviated outing as the Brewers plot out their plans for October.

Irvin was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday with right ankle tendinitis, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Irvin suffered the season-ending injury during his start Thursday against Atlanta, in which he surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and three walks over just 2.2 innings of work. He'll finish the 2023 campaign with a 3-7 record, 4.61 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 99:54 K:BB in 121 innings (24 starts) for the Nationals.
