Lively (pectoral) allowed three runs on six hits and struck out five without walking a batter over 5.2 innings, taking a no-decision in Saturday's extra-innings win over the Diamondbacks.

Lively missed just over three weeks with a pectoral strain. The right-hander was the Reds' third pitcher of the contest, and he held his own with a solid outing, aside from a three-run home run by Ketel Marte in the fifth inning. Lively has gone seven appearances without a win, but he had just one truly awful outing in that span. He's at a 5.17 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 69:19 K:BB through 76.2 innings over 15 appearances (12 starts) this season. Lively is projected to make his next appearance at home against the Cubs.

Bido (2-5) allowed eight runs on five hits and five walks while striking out one over 2.1 innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Cubs.

Bido had his worst outing of the year Saturday, allowing the Cubs to generate rallies in the third and fifth innings. The five walks and eight runs were both season highs, though he was able to keep the ball in the yard. The right-hander is now at a 6.36 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 44:20 K:BB through 46.2 innings over 14 appearances (eight starts) this season. Bido is tentatively lined up for a more favorable road outing in St. Louis his next time out, though it's unclear how long the Pirates will tolerate his poor performance.

Flexen (1-2) took the loss Saturday, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and one walk over five innings against the Orioles. He struck out seven.

Flexen held the Orioles scoreless until the fifth inning, when a throwing error by Elias Diaz advanced Austin Hays into scoring position and ultimately across the plate. Overall, it was a strong performance for Flexen, who didn't allow a single extra-base hit and set a season high in strikeouts. After giving up 12 earned runs over his first three outings in August, Flexen has given up three across his most recent pair of starts. He's tentatively lined up to make his next start at Coors Field against the Blue Jays.

Stone will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to serve as a bulk reliever behind opening pitcher Caleb Ferguson in Sunday's game in Boston, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Stone made four appearances (three starts) for the Dodgers earlier this season and posted a 12.75 ERA and 3.00 WHIP over 12 innings, but the team will bring him back and see how he fares while working behind an opener. In seven outings with Oklahoma City since the All-Star break, Stone has delivered a 3.34 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 41:15 K:BB across 35 frames.

Shuster will start for Atlanta on Sunday in San Francisco, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Shuster has been up with the big club for a few days and available in relief, but he has been slated to start Sunday as long as he wasn't needed out of the bullpen before then. The left-hander has been unimpressive to this point in the majors, posting a 5.00 ERA and 25:22 K:BB over nine starts.

Double-A Biloxi placed Misiorowski on its 7-day injured list Saturday due to arm fatigue, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Per the report, "Initial tests did not prompt significant concern about structural damage, but out of caution, the Brewers have shut Misiorowski down for the time being." With that in mind, Misiorowski is facing an extended absence, but according to Brewers general manager Matt Arnold, there's still a chance the hard-throwing 21-year-old could find himself in the big-league bullpen before the campaign comes to a close.

The Diamondbacks reinstated Davies (back) from the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Davies will return from the IL to start Saturday against the Reds. The 30-year-old righty hasn't found much success this season, accumulating a 7.38 ERA and 1.62 WHIP through 57.1 innings and also surrendering 13 runs over 13.1 frames during his rehab assignment. Justin Martinez was optioned to Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move.

Stone will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday to pitch against the Red Sox, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The Dodgers haven't determined whether Stone will start or follow an opener Sunday, but he will pitch in some fashion against Boston. The 24-year-old righty has allowed 17 runs across 12 innings in four major-league starts this season, but he's put up a 2.85 ERA and 1.02 WHIP since returning to Triple-A in July.

The Reds reinstated Lively (pectoral) from the 15-day injured list Saturday.

A right pectoral strain forced Lively onto the IL on Aug. 2, but he's now ready to return to the Cincinnati rotation. However, Lively isn't immediately expected to start for the Reds, as he's instead likely to be deployed in bulk relief behind opener Fernando Cruz in Saturday's game in Arizona. Lively didn't perform well during his rehab assignment, surrendering 10 earned runs over just 5.2 innings with Triple-A Louisville while striking out six batters and walking two. He holds a 5.20 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the season and remains a risky fantasy option.

Bido is expected to serve as a bulk reliever behind opening pitcher Colin Selby in Saturday's game against the Cubs, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.

Selby hasn't covered more than two innings in any of his appearances in the majors or minors this season, so he's unlikely to work more than once through the Cubs' batting order before bowing out of the contest. Bido, who hasn't pitched since last Sunday, should be well rested and ready to cover multiple frames out of the bullpen once Selby exits. Over seven outings since the All-Star break spanning 20 innings, Bido has gone 1-3 with a 5.85 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 21:5 K:BB.
