Ritchie is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Giants in Atlanta, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

After being recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett, Ritchie joined the Atlanta bullpen and made just his second relief appearance since entering the professional ranks in 2022. He ended up piggybacking injured starter Spencer Strider (elbow) in Friday's loss to the Mets, striking out five batters and scattering two hits and two walks over five innings. With Strider landing on the injured list a day later, Ritchie will now be called upon to fill the open spot in the rotation. Strider lacks a clear timeline for a return, so Ritchie should be in line for multiple starts with the big club.

The Mets are expected to place Scott on the 15-day injured list Monday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. Scott is reportedly tending to a hip issue, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Though it's unclear when Scott sustained the injury, the Mets believe that the 27-year-old righty is dealing with a minor concern. In any case, the loss of Scott further depletes the Mets' rotation depth and will require the team to add another pitcher to the mix Tuesday, when Scott had been scheduled to start against the Reds. If he isn't needed in relief of starter Tobias Myers in Monday's series opener, David Peterson could be a leading candidate to take Scott's spot in the rotation. The Mets could also look to call up Jack Wenninger or Zach Thornton from Triple-A Syracuse to fill a spot until Kodai Senga (arm) is cleared to return from the IL.

An MRI on Strider's right elbow revealed no ligament damage, and he'll meet with Dr. Keith Meister later Monday before a timeline for his return from the 15-day injured list is established, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The MRI result comes as welcome news, as Strider looks set to avoid another operation on his elbow after requiring Tommy John surgery while in college in 2019 and an internal brace surgery in April 2024. Dr. Meister -- who performed the latter procedure -- will review the MRI results before providing Strider with a road map for his next steps in his recovery from elbow inflammation. Atlanta is expected to have another update on the right-hander's status Tuesday, and a potential timetable for his return from the 15-day injured list could also be provided at that point.

Waldron (forearm) made his first rehab appearance with Triple-A El Paso on Sunday, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings.

Waldron breezed through his 2.1 frames on 27 pitches, yielding just one hit. It was Waldron's first outing in exactly one month, as he's working his way back from a right brachialis muscle injury. If the knuckleballer is added back to the major-league roster at the conclusion of his rehab assignment, he is expected to be used in a relief role.

Mahle (hamstring) had been scheduled to make a rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday before the game was postponed due to heavy rain in Sugar Land.

Mahle has been on the shelf for about two and a half weeks due to a left hamstring strain, so he's unlikely to require an extended minor-league assignment before being deemed ready to return from the 15-day injured list. As a result of Sunday's postponement, it's unclear whether the Giants still intend to have Mahle make a rehab start for an affiliate over the next day or two, or if he'll instead opt to throw a simulated game. Mahle had posted a 6.04 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 57:24 K:BB in 56.2 innings over 11 starts with the Giants prior to landing on the IL.

Sheehan (3-4) took the loss Sunday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out eight over five innings.

Sheehan showed much improvement from his previous outing, when he lasted just 1.1 innings and needed 49 pitches while allowing two earned runs. The right-hander was dominant early Sunday, holding Chicago scoreless through five innings while piling up eight strikeouts. Things unraveled quickly in the sixth, however, as Sam Antonacci led off the frame with a solo homer before a single and a double chased Sheehan from the game with no outs and a runner on second. Reliever Jack Dreyer was unable to strand the inherited runner, and Chicago ultimately scored six runs in the inning. Sheehan now sports a 4.76 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 72:17 K:BB across 64.1 innings and is scheduled to face Baltimore in his next start, when he'll be looking for his first win since May 14.

Webb (4-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing an unearned run on seven hits and no walks over eight innings against the Cubs. He struck out seven.

Webb's strong run continued Sunday, as the right-hander kept the Cubs off the board through the first seven frames before a Casey Schmitt throwing error in the eighth inning paved the way for Chicago's lone run scored. Webb has been nothing short of magnificent through three outings in June, posting a 0.39 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 18:1 K:BB across 23 innings. He'll carry a 3.46 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 65:19 K:BB across 75.1 innings (12 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Saturday against the Marlins.

Rea (5-5) allowed four runs on six hits across 4.2 innings and took the loss in Sunday's 5-1 defeat to the Giants. He walked three and struck out two.

Rea worked as the bulk pitcher behind opener Ryan Rolison, and the former struggled upon entering the contest. The veteran righty has now taken the loss in his last two appearances, during which time he's allowed 11 runs across 9.1 innings, which has pushed his season ERA up to 5.35. Rea doesn't strike out many batters, with only a 6.8 K/9 on the year, and that limits his margin for error as well as his fantasy upside. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next scheduled appearance, which is currently lined up for Saturday against the Blue Jays, though it's unclear if he'll start of work behind an opener again.

Buehler (4-3) notched the win Sunday against the Orioles, allowing one run on six hits and no walks in five innings. He struck out five.

Other than serving up a fifth-inning Jeremiah Jackson solo home run, Buehler was excellent Sunday while pouring in 60 of his 86 pitches for strikes. The 31-year-old right-hander is gaining momentum on the hill as of late, tossing at least 4.2 innings while giving up two runs or fewer in four consecutive starts. Buehler will aim to further improve on a 4.14 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 58:22 K:BB over 67.1 innings in a fairly soft matchup against the Rangers in Texas his next time out.

Meyer (7-0) notched the win Sunday against the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out nine.

Meyer was able to outduel Paul Skenes on Sunday, firing six innings of one-run ball. The 27-year-old right-hander, who continues to push for his first career All-Star selection, tied a season high in strikeouts and has now pitched at least five frames while yielding two runs or fewer 10 times this year. Still undefeated in 2026, Mayer is next set to take an impressive 2.75 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 95:32 K:BB across 85 innings into a soft home matchup versus the Giants.
