Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Kershaw is currently the scheduled starter for Friday's game against the Padres, Matthew Moreno of DodgersBlue.com reports.

Dustin May was lined up for Friday's start with Kershaw going against the Padres on Saturday, but the Dodgers appear committed to giving May some extra time to rest up. Kershaw was outstanding in his most recent start last Saturday, tossing seven scoreless innings in a win over the Cardinals.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Tuesday that Houser (groin), who remains on the 15-day injured list and is on a rehab assignment, is trending toward making a start soon for the big-league club, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

McCalvy believes that start could come against the Giants in the Brewers' upcoming three-game series in San Francisco this weekend. Houser covered five innings and 80 pitches last Friday in his most recent rehab start for Triple-A Nashville, allowing three runs. The Brewers haven't officially decided on Houser's next step or his role once he's activated, but if he joins the rotation, he would likely be replacing Colin Rea as the team's No. 5 starter.

Roupp (arm) was reinstated from Double-A Richmond's development list and made his season debut April 23, striking out six while tossing three scoreless innings and allowing one hit and one walk.

In order to give Roupp more time to build up his arm and complete his throwing progression, the Giants had him stay behind at extended spring training in Arizona rather than joining Richmond for the start of its season in early April. The right-hander was cleared to make his season debut about two weeks later and turned in an impressive outing. The 24-year-old doesn't possess a spot on the Giants' 40-man roster, but he could get the chance to make his MLB debut later this season nonetheless.

Seabold will start Thursday's game against the Brewers at Coors Field, Suzie Hunter of TheDNVR.com reports.

Antonio Senzatela (knee) will then come off the injured list to handle Friday's series opener at the Mets, with he and Seabold filling the rotation spots that became open when Noah Davis (elbow) and German Marquez (elbow) recently hit the IL. Seabold has worked exclusively in relief so far this season with Colorado and holds a 5.27 ERA through 13.2 innings. He's not a recommended fantasy streamer, even if Thursday's outing proves to be more than just a spot start.

Senzatela (knee) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Friday against the Mets at Citi Field, Suzie Hunter of TheDNVR.com reports.

After tearing his left ACL last August, Senzatela will make his season debut this weekend and rejoin a Colorado rotation that is currently starving for depth. The 28-year-old righty didn't perform well in his two rehab starts at Triple-A Albuquerque, allowing seven earned runs on 13 hits across 6.1 innings. Considering his sub-par history in the majors, it will be hard for fantasy managers to trust Senzatela in 2023.

Wainwright (groin) is likely to be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday against the Tigers, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Wainwright has looked pretty hittable during his three-start minor-league rehab assignment between Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis, yielding nine earned runs on 18 hits and two walks over 13 innings. Still, the Cardinals will hope the veteran right-hander can help stabilize their pitching staff now that he is recovered from the groin strain that popped up in late March. Even with diminished velocity -- which remains an issue -- Wainwright worked to a solid 3.71 ERA across 191.2 innings for St. Louis in 2022.

The Diamondbacks will call up Pfaadt from Triple-A Reno to start Wednesday's game against the Rangers in Texas, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

The writing was on the wall for Pfaadt's promotion when the Diamondbacks listed Wednesday's starter as "TBA" before Piecoro's report confirmed as much. One of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball, the 24-year-old right-hander has registered a 3.91 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 30:6 K:BB through 25.1 innings (five starts) this season in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. He tallied 218 strikeouts in 167 innings last season between Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A. The swing-and-miss upside he brings to the table makes Pfaadt a must-add option in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Senzatela (knee) is likely to make his season debut Friday or Saturday versus the Mets, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Senzatela arrived in the Rockies' clubhouse Tuesday following his second rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Albuquerque. He did not fare well on the farm, yielding 10 runs -- seven earned -- over 6.1 innings, but Colorado is desperate for starting depth at the moment. The 28-year-old does at least appear to be fully recovered from the torn left ACL he suffered last August.

Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said Tuesday that Rogers (biceps) is still a few weeks away from beginning a throwing program, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rogers landed on the injured list April 21 after being diagnosed with a left biceps strain and can probably be ruled out for most of -- if not all of -- May. The 25-year-old had pitched to a 4.00 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB through 18 innings (four starts) this season with Miami.

Marquez (elbow) revealed Tuesday that he needs Tommy John surgery, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.

Marquez expressed concern that he might require the reconstructive elbow surgery when he was placed on the injured list last Friday, and now his worst fears have been realized. There's no set date yet for the procedure, but it's going to knock him out until at least the midway point of the 2024 season. Colorado will almost certainly decline his $16 million club option in November, making him a free agent with several more months of rehab ahead. It's a brutal blow for the 28-year-old right-hander and for the Rockies, who may have looked to finally trade him this summer before he suffered the serious elbow injury.
