Greene (tibia contusion) said he hopes to make his next start, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

His right leg tightened up in between innings after he was hit by a comebacker, but X-rays were negative. Greene tossed three scoreless innings with one strikeout against the Rays before his night was cut short. If Greene can stay on turn, he would line up to pitch this weekend in Pittsburgh.

Mets manager Buck Showalter said that Verlander (shoulder) will throw another bullpen session Tuesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Verlander completed his first bullpen session since suffering a low-grade teres major muscle strain just before Opening Day on Saturday, and it's a positive sign he's scheduled to throw another bullpen a few days later. The right-hander will need to make at least one rehab start before returning to the Mets' rotation, but it does appear the reigning AL Cy Young winner has a chance to make starts for New York by the end of April.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Pepiot (oblique) has yet to resume a throwing program, Matthew Moreno of DodgerBlue.com reports. "Ryan is just doing one-arm plyos [at extended spring training] in Arizona," Roberts said. "We're all kind of miffed at the slow progress. He's still not throwing a baseball."

The right-hander has been on the injured list just before the start of the season with a left oblique strain, and an injury that was expected to keep him out for a couple of weeks will now likely sideline the 25-year-old until the end of month.

Greene left Monday's game against the Rays with a right tibia contusion, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports. X-rays returned negative.

Greene was hit hard by a comebacker in the second inning against Tampa Bay, and while he was able to continue for one more inning, the bruise left him unable to continue. The hard-throwing right-hander should be considered day-to-day, and it's a positive development that there was no structural damage found during the imaging.

Greene left Monday's start against the Rays with an apparent injury, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports. He allowed no runs over three scoreless innings with no walks and one strikeout before exiting.

Greene was hit in the shin area by a comebacker, and while he initially was able to stay in the contest, he was forced to exit an inning later. Greene will likely undergo imaging to make sure there's no structural damage, and there should be an update on his status before Tuesday's game against Tampa Bay. Buck Farmer has replaced Greene on the mound.

Gonsolin (ankle) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session before Monday's game against the Mets and is scheduled to throw four innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Gonsolin will need to make at least one more rehab start after that effort for Oklahoma City before returning to the Dodgers. The talented starter has yet to make his season debut after suffering a sprained left ankle during Cactus League play. If all goes well, Gonsolin could be a member of the Dodgers' rotation in the early part of May.

Butto was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse by the Mets on Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Butto pitched well on Sunday while allowing just a run against the Athletics over five innings, but he's sent down to provide a fresh arm in the bullpen. Edwin Uceta takes his place on the roster. Butto will likely be an up-and-down option for the Mets throughout the 2023 campaign.

Hendricks (shoulder) threw 36 pitches over two innings of a simulated outing before Monday's game against the Athletics and felt great afterwards, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Hendricks continues to make positive progress from the shoulder strain that has sidelined him to begin the 2023 season. The next step for the right-hander could be a rehab assignment in hopes of him being part of the Cubs' rotation by the end of April or early in May.

Musgrove (toe/shoulder) struck out eight over five innings and allowed four earned runs on six hits and no walks in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A El Paso.

The rehab outing was Musgrove's second with El Paso after he previously covered 4.1 innings in his first start April 6. He built up to 69 pitches in Sunday's outing, so Musgrove looks like he'll be ready to handle something close to a normal workload if the Padres are comfortable bringing him back from the 15-day injured list at some point during this weekend's four-game series in Arizona. Ryan Weathers is the most likely candidate to move to the bullpen or head to Triple-A once Musgrove is formally cleared to rejoin the big-league rotation.

Marquez (forearm) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Thursday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Before he's formally cleared to resume mound work, Marquez will play catch off flat ground from 90 feet Monday. The Rockies have optimism that the right forearm strain Marquez sustained in an April 10 start won't require anything more than a 15-day stint on the injured list, but he still has a few hurdles to clear in the recovery process to make that a reality.
