Lodolo (back) will throw a live bullpen and pitch in a simulated game at the Reds' spring training complex this week, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Lodolo threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Saturday and will take another step forward in his rehab process when he faces live hitters. Assuming he feels good following his upcoming throwing sessions, the left-hander's next step in his recovery will be a rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville.

Strasburg (neck) will start Thursday's game in Miami, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com

Strasburg was considered a strong candidate to start Thursday's matchup since he threw a bullpen session Monday, and manager Dave Martinez officially confirmed Tuesday that the right-hander will make his season debut during Thursday's series finale against the Marlins. Strasburg also battled injuries in 2020 and 2021, and he made just seven starts during that time, posting a 5.74 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 26.2 innings.

Luzardo (forearm) has yet to begin a throwing program since landing on the 15-day injured list May 12, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Now more than three weeks removed from being shut down with a left forearm strain, Luzardo has yet to take any meaningful steps forward in his recovery. Even if he's cleared to start playing catch within the next few days, Luzardo will still require multiple weeks to build back up for a starting role. At this stage, Luzardo might be trending toward a return from the IL in July at the earliest.

The Phillies placed Wheeler on the paternity list Tuesday.

Wheeler isn't scheduled to make his next start until Saturday against the Diamondbacks in Philadelphia, so his move to the paternity list isn't expected to affect his availability. He'll likely spend the maximum three days away from the team before reporting back to to the Philadelphia clubhouse on the day of his start.

Bednar has a 4.37 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 44:18 K:BB in 35 innings (10 starts) for Single-A San Jose.

The 14th overall pick in last season's draft, Bednar is less than a week shy of his 22nd birthday, so it'd be nice to see him showing some more dominance at the lowest level of full-season ball. He's lasted five innings in just one of his starts this year, and that was back on April 27; he's also had a pair of five-run explosions in his last four outings. With too many walks (4.6 BB/9), a 5.64 FIP and a 5.11 xFIP, Bednar certainly isn't having the kind of success the Giants expected. There's considerable relief risk here.

Miller has a 4.38 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 40:11 K:BB through nine starts (37 innings) for Double-A Tulsa.

He's suffered from some bad luck, as Miller's FIP sits at a friendlier 3.37. The 23-year-old has done a good job missing bats and keeping the ball on the ground, and he has a workhorse's build at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds. The Dodgers have been taking the training wheels off him recently, as his last two outings have been his two longest of the year (six and 5.2 innings, respectively). Having impressed in spring training and now in the minors, he's on the radar for a call-up to the big leagues, but that's still probably a little ways off, as he's not yet on the 40-man roster and the Dodgers don't currently have any rotation openings.

Snell (0-3) took the loss against the Mets on Monday, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out four over four innings.

Snell got off to a poor start, allowing five of the first seven batters he faced to reach base as New York took an early 3-0 lead. He bounced back with two straight scoreless frames before the Mets tagged him for another run in the fourth, and he departed after the first two batters reached base (one by error) against him in the fifth. Snell has taken losses in three of his four stats this season, though this was the first time he has given up more than three runs in an outing. He'll look to get in the win column in his next start, which is lined up to come at home against Colorado this weekend.

Carrasco (7-1) earned the win over San Diego on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out 10 over seven innings.

Carrasco walked five batters in five innings in his previous start, so it was nice to see him display much better control Monday. The veteran also struck out a season-high 10 batters and registered 19 swinging strikes to help him win his sixth straight decision. Carrasco has bounced back nicely from a rough 2021 season, as he is tied for the league lead with seven victories while compiling a 3.52 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 61:13 K:BB across 64 innings. He's expected to make his next start on the road against the slumping Angels on Sunday.

Greene (3-7) allowed one hit over seven shutout innings Monday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Diamondbacks.

Greene needed just 87 pitches to cruise through Monday's victory and he never allowed a runner past first base. After Daulton Varsho's leadoff single, the 22-year-old flamethrower retired 20 straight batters. While he's struggled with his command at times this season, Greene has posted a 16:0 K:BB over his last two starts, improving his season mark to 72:24 through 55 frames. He'll carry a 5.40 ERA into his projected start in St. Louis this weekend.

Megill (biceps) flew to meet up with the rest of his teammates in San Diego on Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Megill has missed nearly a month with biceps tendinitis. He struck out five batters in 3.2 rehab innings for Double-A Binghamton on Sunday, and while it previously looked like he might need one more rehab start, the fact that he's linking up with his teammates suggests his next outing may come as part of the active roster. His return date is yet to be officially confirmed, but he'd be lined up to pitch against the Angels on Saturday.
