Contreras was able to escape a bases-loaded jam in the second inning but served up a Jurickson Profar two-run shot with two-out in the fifth to fall behind. The 22-year-old has impressed in two starts since returning from the minors, compiling a line of two earned runs on eight hits and three walks with eight strikeouts in 10 innings. If he sticks in the rotation, Contreras will likely take the mound against Arizona next weekend.

Gore didn't factor into the decision during Sunday's 4-2 win against Pittsburgh, allowing two hits and three walks with nine strikeouts in seven scoreless innings.

Gore shut down the Pirates offense by throwing 66 of 93 pitches for strikes with a season-high nine strikeouts and an impressive 15 swinging strikes. Unfortunately for the 23-year-old, the bullpen let in two runs in the eighth to immediately spoil the rookie's excellent performance. Gore has now held opposing offenses to three runs or fewer in each of his seven starts while allowing just one run over his last 16 innings to lower his ERA to an impressive 1.71. He'll look to keep the momentum rolling against Milwaukee next weekend.

Feltner is listed as the Rockies' scheduled starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Marlins at Coors Field.

Feltner will be rewarded with a second turn through the Colorado rotation after he struck out seven and allowed two runs over five innings in a no-decision May 25 in Pittsburgh. Whether the rookie right-hander sticks around with the big club beyond Monday's outing will likely hinge on the health of starters Antonio Senzatela (back) and Kyle Freeland (ankle). Senzatela made a four-inning rehab start at Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday and could be ready to return from the 15-day injured list as soon as Wednesday, while Freeland's status for the upcoming week is murkier after he suffered a left ankle impingement during his start Sunday against the Nationals.

Davies (2-3) took the loss during Sunday's 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts 5.1 innings.

Davies avoided major damage but served up a Will Smith solo shot in the second inning and two runs on three baserunners in the third to fall in line for the loss as Arizona's offense was dormant. The biggest takeaway is that the 29-year-old showed no ill effects of a lower-leg injury that put Sunday's start in question. After delivering consecutive scoreless outings to open May, Davies has allowed at least three runs in each of his last four starts and will look to get back on track next weekend against Pittsburgh.

Anderson (6-0) earned the win during Sunday's 3-1 victory over Arizona, allowing five hits and one walk with six strikeouts in six scoreless innings.

Anderson required just 79 pitches to cruise through six easy frames and earn his third straight win to give him a share of the MLB lead with teammate Walker Buehler and Justin Verlander at six. Since joining the rotation April 23, the 32-year-old has surrendered 14 runs in 41.2 innings for a 3.02 ERA, though five of the seven starts have come against teams below .500. A 3.65 xFIP indicates Anderson's 2.90 ERA stands to rise, and he'll get a test against the Mets' top three offense next weekend.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Woodruff's right ankle injury may not be significant enough to prevent the right-hander from making his next scheduled turn through the rotation Wednesday in Chicago against the Cubs, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Woodruff's most recent start Friday in St. Louis was cut short after he experienced irritation in the ankle during the fifth inning. Woodruff told Mark Saxon of MLB.com that he expects to be fine for his next start, but the Brewers won't take any chances with the 29-year-old if they sense that the ankle issue will hinder him from a command standpoint. Woodruff will likely be observed closely during a throwing session Monday before the Brewers decide on his status for this week.

The Rockies are hopeful that Senzatela (back) will be ready to return from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Marlins at Coors Field, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

A decision on whether to bring Senzatela back from the IL this week will likely hinge on how he responds to a bullpen session Monday. After he was placed on the IL on May 17 due to a lower-back strain, Senzatela was cleared to head out on a rehab assignment this weekend at Triple-A Albuquerque. He covered four innings in his start Friday for the affiliate, giving up four runs on eight hits and a walk while failing to strike out a batter.

Garrett (shoulder) returned from the 7-day injured list Sunday and struck out three over five scoreless innings for Triple-A Jacksonville in its 4-3 loss to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday. He gave up one hit and no walks in a no-decision.

Garrett slotted back into the Jacksonville rotation for his first start since April 26 after a month-long shutdown due to a left shoulder injury. The 24-year-old will be bypassed for a spot in the big-league rotation during the upcoming week with Edward Cabrera on track to receive a call-up from Jacksonville, but Garrett could be the next man up for a promotion if the Marlins lose another starting pitcher at any point.

Manager Don Mattingly said Sunday that Luzardo (forearm) has yet to resume a throwing program and will take longer than the Marlins initially expected to return from the 15-day injured list, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

When Miami placed Luzardo on the IL on May 12 with a left forearm strain, the team held out hope that the southpaw might be ready for activation shortly after the 15 days lapsed, but that didn't come to fruition. Since he's yet to resume activity and will need to be built back up for a starting role, Luzardo is realistically multiple weeks away from coming off the IL, and it wouldn't be surprising if his absence extended through the All-Star break. Miami plans to call up Edward Cabrera from Triple-A Jacksonville this week to step in as their new fifth starter after Cody Poteet (elbow) joined Luzardo on the IL on Sunday.

Williams will start Tuesday's game against the Nationals at Citi Field, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

After making a spot start May 21 in Colorado, Williams made his most recent appearance out of the bullpen Wednesday in San Francisco. With starter Thomas Szapucki getting tagged for nine earned runs over 1.1 innings before exiting that contest, Williams ended up saving the bullpen by striking out five over 3.2 scoreless frames. He tossed 53 pitches in that outing and should be reasonably stretched out as he slots back into the rotation for what should be a two-start week. Williams' second turn is expected to come next Sunday in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.
