Pepiot was recalled as expected and will start Friday against Arizona.

Pepiot owns a respectable 3.86 ERA through his first two major-league starts, but he's lasted a combined seven innings while walking eight batters. He won't be able to rely on a .133 BABIP going forward, though his 1.72 ERA in seven starts for Triple-A Oklahoma City suggests there's hope his performance rises to match his results.

Falter was recalled Friday ahead of his scheduled start against the Mets.

Falter has made one start and four relief appearances at the big-league level this season, allowing five runs on 13 hits in 12 innings of work while striking out seven batters and walking just two. He's recently been stretching out for a starting role with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he's thrown 10.1 scoreless innings while striking out half the batters he's faced. Jose Alvarado was optioned to clear space on the roster.

Ashcraft's contract was selected by the Reds on Friday. He'll take the hill for his second career start Friday against the Giants.

Ashcraft made his big-league debut last week against the Blue Jays and held his own but wasn't particularly impressive, striking out three batters in 4.1 innings while giving up two runs on four hits and a pair of walks. He returned to the minors after that start, as he'd merely been up to replace a handful of players who hit the restricted list after rendering themselves unable to cross the Canadian border due to their decision not to vaccinate themselves against COVID-19, but it's possible he could make his case to stick around longer this time around.

Marquez (1-5) allowed five earned runs on six hits and three walks over six innings while striking out two to take the loss Thursday against the Nationals.

Marquez surrendered four runs in the first inning while allowing six of the first seven batters he faced to reach base. He did manage to settle in from there and recorded 10 groundball outs to limit further damage. Marquez has now allowed four or more earned runs in six of his nine starts, which has led to a 6.30 ERA and 1.58 WHIP across 50 frames on the season.

Pepiot will start Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Although Pepiot was sent down last week, he traveled with the Dodgers for their road trip to Arizona and will make his third major-league start Friday. Over his first two starts, the right-hander posted a 3.86 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in seven innings.

Davies (lower leg) threw a 31-pitch bullpen session Thursday, Jack Sommers of MLB.com reports. The right-hander is scheduled to start Sunday against the Dodgers.

Davies left his most recent start during the fourth inning after taking a 112.4 mph liner to the leg off the bat of Bobby Witt. According to the report, Thursday's bullpen session went well, and Davies will not miss a turn.

Wainwright (5-4) took the loss against Milwaukee on Thursday, allowing four runs (three earned) on 10 hits and one walk while striking out two over five innings.

Wainwright labored to make it through five frames, needing 100 pitches and yielding a season-high 10 hits. He gave up a pair of runs in the first inning and single runs in each of the second and fourth frames. The veteran entered the contest riding a three-game win streak on the strength of having allowed just three runs over his previous 20 innings, but he gave up more hits and runs Thursday than he had during all three games of the win streak combined. Wainwright will look to bounce back in his next start, which is scheduled to come at home against the Padres next week.

Lauer (5-1) earned the win against St. Louis on Thursday, pitching five innings and allowing two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out one.

This wasn't among Lauer's best starts this season, as he labored with 96 pitches over five frames and walked a season-high four hitters while tallying a season-low one strikeout. Nonetheless, he was able to take control after the first two innings, retiring nine of the final 10 batters he faced and going just long enough to earn the victory. The left-handed hurler has been outstanding for Milwaukee this season, compiling a 2.31 ERA and 1.01 WHIP while tying for second in the National League with five wins. He's lined up to make his next start in Chicago next week.

Corbin (1-7) allowed three earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three across 6.1 innings to earn the win Thursday against Colorado.

Corbin entered Thursday having taken the loss in seven of his nine starts on the season. However, he was sharp against the Rockies, highlighted by 10 groundball outs. Corbin managed his third quality start of the season and has maintained a 6.30 ERA and 42:22 K:BB across 50 frames.

Nola (2-4) allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks while striking out 10 across 8.1 innings to earn the win Thursday against Atlanta.

Nola dominated Atlanta and allowed only two extra-base hits -- both to Matt Olson. He also struck out a season-best 10 hitters, backed by 24 called strikes and 15 swinging strikes across 109 total pitches. Nola entered the start having allowed 10 earned runs across his last three starts spanning 17.2 innings, but for the season he has maintained a 3.56 ERA and an elite 74:10 K:BB across 60.2 frames.
