Miley (foot) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Phillies.

Miley suffered a sprained left foot in mid-May, but he'll return to the mound after a brief stay on the injured list. The southpaw has posted a 3.50 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 43.2 innings across eight starts to begin the year. Left-hander Cionel Perez was optioned to Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move.

Kershaw (7-4) allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out six across six innings, taking the loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Kershaw was immediately lit up for three runs in the first inning, capped off by a two-run home run by Mauricio Dubon. The veteran southpaw has eight quality starts to go along with a 3.33 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP. In his four worst starts this season, he has a 9.40 ERA. Although inconsistent at times, he's been able to stay healthy so far in his age-33 season. His next start is scheduled for Saturday in Atlanta.

Freeland allowed three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out one in four innings during Sunday's win over the Pirates. He didn't factor into the decision.

Freeland gave up just one run in his season debut Tuesday, but he was slightly less effective against Pittsburgh. The southpaw tossed two scoreless innings to begin Sunday's game, but the Pirates were able to manufacture runs in the third and fourth innings prior to Freeland's removal. Freeland hasn't lasted more than two innings in either of his first two starts of the year and has had to settle for no-decisions in each appearance. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Athletics on Saturday.

Kim (1-3) allowed four earned runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out one across five innings, taking the loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Kim allowed three extra-base hits, including a solo home run to Ketel Marte in the third inning. This was Kim's worst start of the season, as he surrendered a season-high nine hits and four runs while striking out just one. The 32-year-old has a 3.65 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP in 37 innings. He has a 8.0 K/9. His next start is scheduled for Friday against the Reds.

Mahle (4-2) allowed a hit and one walk over five shutout frames Sunday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Cubs.

Mahle started the game with four perfect frames before issuing a walk and a single to begin the fifth. He escaped that jam by striking out the last three batters he faced in the contest. Despite ever being in much danger, he needed 98 pitches to get through five innings. The 6-foot-3 righty has thrown 10.1 shutout innings in his last two starts to lower his season ERA to 3.42. Mahle is lined up to take the mound in St. Louis next weekend.

Woodruff (4-2) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out 10 in seven scoreless innings to earn the win against the Nationals on Sunday.

Woodruff tossed seven shutout innings in his last start, and he replicated the feat Sunday and earned his second straight win. The right-hander has now allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last 10 starts and has recorded double-digit strikeouts in three of his last five outings. Woodruff tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Gausman (hip) expects to make his next start, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Gausman will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his injury, but the issue doesn't appear to be a significant concern. The right-hander has been dealing with his hip issue for several weeks, but he was removed from Sunday's start as a precautionary measure at the end of the sixth inning after he felt it flare up while fielding a grounder. Assuming he's cleared to pitch, Gausman tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Cubs on Saturday.

Gausman was removed from Sunday's start against the Dodgers as a precautionary measure due to left hip tightness, and manager Gabe Kapler said that the right-hander will get his MRI for "some peace of mind." Kapler said that Gausman has been dealing with his hip issue for several weeks, but he felt it flare up during Sunday's outing. Since Gausman has been able to pitch through the issue recently, there's hope that he'll be able to continue doing so, but his MRI should provide a better idea of his status moving forward.

Williams won't make his scheduled start Monday against the Padres after he underwent an appendectomy Sunday, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.

The Cubs haven't yet announced who will take Williams' place as the starter for Monday's series opener against the Padres. It's not yet clear whether the right-hander will be forced to miss more than one turn through the rotation following his procedure.

Eflin (2-5) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Rays after allowing four runs on six hits and a walk while fanning five across 4.2 innings.

Eflin has now dropped four straight decisions and has given up at least three runs in three of those contests -- though it's worth noting this was his first appearance where he couldn't complete six innings. The right-hander has seen his ERA rise from 3.58 at the end of April to 4.10 following his six starts during the current month. He's scheduled to take the ball next week against the Nationals at home.
