Sixto Sanchez SP | MIA
Marlins' Sixto Sanchez: In 60-man player pool
Sanchez is part of the Marlins' 60-man player pool, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.
As a member of the 40-man roster, Sanchez's inclusion was inevitable. He is not too far away from being big-league ready, and the Marlins will want to responsibly build up his innings as much as possible, so he could be heard from in the majors this summer.

Wes Parsons RP | CLE
Rockies' Wes Parsons: Will make 60-man roster
Parsons will be added to the Rockies' 60-man roster, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
Parsons will join the players at the alternate site at Albuquerque once the season starts, so he is not guaranteed to pitch in the majors this season. He was reportedly converting back to being a starter this spring after working in a long relief role in 2019.
-
David Peterson SP | CHC
Mets' David Peterson: Named to player pool
Peterson has been added to the Mets' 60-man player pool, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
While New York's five-man rotation is set, Peterson figures to be one of the team's main options to fill in or get a spot start when the rest of the staff needs additional rest. The 24-year-old southpaw posted a 4.19 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 122:37 K:BB in 116 innings for Double-A Binghamton last season.
-
Joey Cantillo SP | CLE
Padres' Joey Cantillo: Invited to summer camp
Cantillo will be part of the Padres' 60-man summer camp.
Cantillo has a chance to develop into a No. 3 or No. 4 starter if all goes well in the coming years, but he has only made three starts at High-A, logging a 4.61 ERA as his walk rate spiked to 11.1 percent, so he is not ready to face MLB hitters. His inclusion was more for developmental purposes than to help the big-league team win games in 2020.
-
Michael Grove RP | TB
Dodgers' Michael Grove: Receives summer camp invite
Grove has been added to the Dodgers' 60-man player pool.
Grove was drafted in 2018 but did not play until 2019 due to recovery from Tommy John surgery. The right-hander posted a 6.10 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 73:19 K:BB across 51.2 innings with High-A Rancho Cucamonga last year. There is swing-and-miss stuff in his arsenal, but he is far from ready to pitch to major-league hitters and is unlikely to see any big-league playing time this season.
-
MacKenzie Gore SP | TEX
Padres' MacKenzie Gore: Invited to summer camp
Gore will be part of the Padres' 60-man summer camp.
While Gore is not on the 40-man roster, his inclusion in the Padres' 60-man player pool was an inevitability. He is one of the game's top pitching prospects and is fairly close to big-league ready. He finished the 2019 season with a solid five-start run at Double-A and has never pitched at Triple-A. Gore is a wild card for redraft leagues, as he is not guaranteed a rotation spot at any point this season, but he has a very high ceiling if he were to enter the rotation at some point.

Josiah Gray RP | WAS
Dodgers' Josiah Gray: Gets summer camp invite
Gray has been added to the Dodgers' 60-man player pool.
Gray impressed across three levels last season, finishing with a nine-game stretch at Double-A in which he compiled a 2.75 ERA and 1.13 WHIP along with a 41:11 K:BB across 39.1 innings. He is not on the 40-man roster, but given his status as one of the Dodgers' top pitching prospects and his rapid ascension through their system thus far, a major-league debut could be in the works for 2020.
-
Nick Wells SP | WAS
Nationals' Nick Wells: Part of 60-man pool
Wells has been added to the Nationals' 60-man player pool, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
Despite having been drafted by Toronto in 2014, Wells has yet to pitch above High-A in his career, so his presence in the 60-man pool is a little hard to explain. The southpaw will provide the Nats with some emergency bullpen depth.
-
Jackson Rutledge RP | PHI
Nationals' Jackson Rutledge: Added to 60-man pool
Rutledge is part of the 60-man player pool for the Nationals, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
The club's top mound prospect is with the team for developmental purposes only, as Rutledge has yet to pitch above Low-A as a pro. The 2019 first-round pick was impressive last year, posting a 2.30 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB in 27.1 innings for Low-A Hagerstown, but even if Nats coaches like what they see from him during the upcoming campaign, Rutledge isn't likely to make his big-league debut until at least 2021.
-
Nick Lodolo SP | CIN
Reds' Nick Lodolo: In 60-man player pool
Lodolo will be a part of the Reds' 60-man player pool this season.
Lodolo is the Reds' top pitching prospect, and he was excellent in the lower levels after signing last year. However, the 22-year-old lefty has yet to pitch above Low-A, so while he could theoretically make his big-league debut this year, it would likely be in a very minor role.
