Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Named starter for NLDS Game 2
Strasburg will start Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Dodgers on Friday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Strasburg pitched 34 pitches in relief during Tuesday's wild-card matchup against the Brewers, but manager Dave Martinez indicated that the team views the relief appearance as similar to a normal workload he'd see between starts. Strasburg's start during Game 2 also makes him available to start a potential Game 5 of the NLDS if it would be necessary. The 31-year-old carries a 251:56 K:BB and an 18-6 record this season.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Tabbed as Game 3 starter
Ryu will start Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Nationals on Sunday.
The 32-year-old will take the mound for Game 3 of the NLDS carrying a 2.32 ERA with a 163:24 K:BB through the regular season. Clayton Kershaw will start Game 2 over Ryu, likely to make Kershaw available in relief later in the series if necessary. Ryu struggled in the 2018 postseason, recording a 5.21 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP in 19 innings pitched. The southpaw will look to turn things around in the 2019 playoffs after another dominant regular season.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Will start NLDS Game 2
Kershaw will receive the start for Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Nationals on Friday, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The 31-year-old will take the mound Friday after a season in which his ERA rose to 3.03 with a 1.04 WHIP, although he recorded a 16-5 record. Kershaw has struggled in past postseason appearances, carrying a career 4.32 ERA with a 9-10 record in his 30 playoff outings.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Named starter for NLDS Game 3
Wainwright was named the starter for Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Braves, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
It was unclear whether Wainwright or Dakota Hudson would take the mound for Game 3 of the NLDS, but manager Mike Shildt named Wainwright the starter largely due to his past experience in the postseason. The 38-year-old carries a 14-10 record with a 4.19 ERA over 31 starts in 2019. If necessary, Hudson is expected to serve as the starter for the fourth game of the series.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Left off roster for NLDS
Gonsolin is not on the roster for the National League Division Series against the Nationals.
After posting a 2.93 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP over 11 appearances (six starts), the 25-year-old will not be available out of the bullpen for the first series of the postseason. Dustin May will fill Gonsolin's bullpen spot for the NLDS.

Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: Makes NLDS roster
May is on the roster for the National League Division Series against the Nationals.
The 22-year-old will be available in the bullpen for the NLDS over Tony Gonsolin, who was left off the roster. May owns a 2.61 ERA with a 15:1 K:BB over nine appearances in September.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Will start NLDS Game 1
Buehler was named the starter for Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Nationals on Thursday.
The 25-year-old will take the mound for the first game of the NLDS after recording a 215:37 K:BB and a 3.26 ERA with a 14-4 record this season. Clayton Kershaw will likely start Game 2 with Hyun-Jin Ryu expected to start Game 3.
-
Jack Flaherty SP | DET
Cardinals' Jack Flaherty: Confirmed as Game 2 starter
Flaherty will start Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Braves on Friday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
The move was widely expected, but manager Mike Shildt confirmed Flaherty as the starter during media availability Wednesday. The 23-year-old posted a 0.91 ERA with a 0.71 WHIP in 15 starts over the second half of the season while amassing a 7-2 record during that time.

Max Fried SP | NYY
Braves' Max Fried: Tentatively scheduled for Game 4
Fried lines up to start Game 4 of the NLDS on Monday against the Cardinals, but the Braves may change their plans, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Fried is seen as the Braves' fourth starter, but the team is open to using its pitching staff creatively if necessary. Fried could be called upon in relief in one of the first three games, prompting Atlanta to go with a bullpen game or use Dallas Keuchel on short rest in Game 4.

Julio Teheran SP | BAL
Braves' Julio Teheran: Won't make NLDS roster
Teheran will not be on the Braves' NLDS roster, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The Braves no longer view their Opening Day starter as one of their four best rotation options, and he's not even seen as good enough to be a long reliever. It's hard to argue with that conclusion, as he's posted a 5.50 ERA over his last eight starts. Josh Tomlin will be the long man in the bullpen.
