Ross Stripling SP | KC
Dodgers' Ross Stripling: Remains on track to start Thursday
The Dodgers plan on Stripling (toe) coming off the disabled to start Thursday's game against the Rockies, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Stripling won't require a minor-league rehab assignment as it looks as though he'll miss only a single start with the toe injury. The 28-year-old has a 2.68 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 119:15 K:BB in 16 starts this season.

Chris Flexen RP | CHC
Mets' Chris Flexen: Undergoes knee surgery
Flexen underwent knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus, Betsy Helfand of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.
Flexen was placed on the minor-league disabled list earlier in the month, and this essentially ends his season. The 24-year-old posted a 4.40 ERA and 1.52 WHIP across 92 innings with Triple-A Las Vegas before going under the knife. He also made four appearances for the big club, though he struggled to a 12.79 ERA and 3.16 WHIP over those outings.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Set for sim game
Wainwright (elbow) is scheduled to throw a simulated game Friday in Jupiter, Fla., Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
Wainwright got through his 21-pitch bullpen session Tuesday with no issues, so he'll progress to facing live hitters in a simulated outing later in the week. He's seemingly close to being cleared for a minor-league rehab assignment, which would be the last step in his recovery before potentially rejoining the Cardinals sometime in September.

Brett Kennedy RP | CIN
Padres' Brett Kennedy: Contract selected from Triple-A
Kennedy had his contract purchased from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.
Kennedy will join the big club ahead of his big-league debut, which is set for Wednesday against the Brewers. The 24-year-old has impressed with the Chihuahuas this season, compiling a 10-0 record, 2.72 ERA and 80 strikeouts across 89.1 innings of work. It's unclear if Kennedy will remain in the rotation beyond Wednesday's outing, though that could depend on how he fares.

Adam McCreery SP | ATL
Braves' Adam McCreery: Joins big club
McCreery was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
McCreery will take the roster spot of Max Fried (groin), who was sent to the disabled list after injuring himself during Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals. The 25-year-old has only pitched one inning above the Double-A level, so he'll likely be limited to mop-up duty during his time with the major-league team.
-
Wes Parsons RP | CLE
Braves' Wes Parsons: Summoned back to majors
Parsons was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.
Parsons will join the big club ahead of the second half of Tuesday's twin bill to offer additional bullpen help after Atlanta's bullpen was tasked with six innings of work in Game 1. The 25-year-old has yet to make an appearance at the major-league level this season, though he owns a solid 3.03 ERA across 65.1 innings with Gwinnett.

Max Fried SP | NYY
Braves' Max Fried: Lands on DL
Fried (groin) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday.
Fried suffered a strained left groin during Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, and the injury is serious enough to warrant a stay on the disabled list. The southpaw will be eligible to return Aug. 17 should he prove ready. When Fried does return, it's unclear if he'll remain in a starting role or transition to the bullpen. Adam McCreery was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding roster move.
-
Jordan Lyles RP | KC
Brewers' Jordan Lyles: Officially activated
Lyles was added to the Brewers' active roster ahead of Tuesday's game against the Padres.
Lyles will take the roster spot of Matt Albers (hamstring), who was sent to the disabled list in a corresponding move. The right-hander, who compiled a 4.29 ERA across 71.1 innings with the Padres this season, will slide into a middle-relief role for his new team.

Antonio Senzatela RP | MIL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Showing improvement with shoulder
Rockies manager Bud Black said Monday that Senzatela (shoulder) is expected to resume a throwing program later this week, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports. "He's probably going to play catch here in a day or two, but early reports are that he feels good and that a lot of the initial soreness he felt over the weekend in Milwaukee has sort of gone away," Black said of Senzatela.
As expected, it looks as though Senzatela may only be on track for a minimum stay on the 10-day disabled list. Chad Bettis (finger) was activated from the DL and will fill Senzatela's spot in the rotation Tuesday against the Pirates, but Senzatela could reclaim a starting role as soon as Sunday against the Dodgers if his shoulder responds well to throwing over the next few days.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Won't return over weekend
Matz (forearm) will miss at least one more turn through the rotation, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.
Matz was hoping to miss just one start after landing on the disabled list earlier in the month with a flexor pronator strain, but the Mets determined he wouldn't be ready to take the mound over the weekend after his bullpen session Monday. Corey Oswalt will make another start in Matz's place, though barring any setbacks it sounds like the southpaw could reclaim his spot in the rotation next week.
