Davies (shoulder) threw 79 pitches over 4.2 innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday.

Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Seven scoreless innings in win over Pirates
Freeland (10-7) tossed seven scoreless innings Monday while earning the win over the Pirates, allowing two hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
Freeland allowed just three men past first base on the evening as he lowered his ERA to a shiny 3.04. He threw 70 percent of his pitches for strikes and induced nine groundball outs in this gem of an outing. Freeland has now reeled off 18 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run at Coors Field and owns a 2.17 ERA at home this season. He's blossomed into a very useful option for both the Rockies and fantasy owners, with his next outing scheduled for Saturday against the Dodgers.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Tosses bullpen session
Matz (forearm) threw a bullpen Monday, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.
After landing on the 10-day disabled list Friday with a flexor-pronator strain, Matz managed to quickly resume baseball activities, as he's hopeful to miss just one start while on the shelf. The next step for Matz will likely be determined by how he feels following his most recent throwing session. He's eligible to return Aug. 11 against Miami.

Cole Hamels SP | SD
Cubs' Cole Hamels: Delivers six one-run innings in win
Hamels (7-9) delivered six innings of one-run ball en route to a win over the Royals on Monday, allowing seven hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
Hamels allowed a run on two hits in the second inning, but he settled down and scattered baserunners the rest of the way as he limited the hosts to one. He threw 68 percent of his pitches for strikes, and though he couldn't strike hitters out as effectively as he did in his Cubs debut, he invited plenty of weak contact to record outs. Hamels has now allowed just one earned run across 11 innings since arriving in a trade with the Rangers and appears to have benefited from the change of scenery. He'll next get the ball this weekend against the Nationals.

Syndergaard (7-2) allowed four runs on six hits and one walk while fanning six over 6.1 innings Monday as he picked up the victory against Cincinnati.
Syndergaard was cruising along through six scoreless innings, but that would change in the seventh after the Reds plated four runs. Despite this, he managed to notch a win in his second start since returning from a stint on the disabled list. Syndergaard heads into his next outing with a 3.17 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 93 punchouts over 88 innings.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Another bullpen on tap
Wainwright (elbow) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday or Wednesday, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
If all goes well during Wainwright's upcoming bullpen, he could be cleared to embark on a minor-league rehab assignment shortly after. The veteran right-hander has been sidelined since May 13 but could rejoin the Cardinals sometime in September if all goes well with his rehab.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Live BP on tap Wednesday
Darvish (shoulder) will throw a live batting practice session Wednesday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Darvish has been playing catch and throwing bullpen sessions and will now progress to the next step in his rehab. He's been out since late May, first with a triceps issue and now with a shoulder problem. It remains difficult to predict when he'll be back in Chicago, as the last time he appeared to be ready to return he ended up shut down with a setback.

Carlos Martinez SP | SF
Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Set to play catch
Martinez (shoulder) is slated to play catch Monday, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
Martinez is slated to throw for the first time since landing on the disabled list with a shoulder injury last week -- his third trip to the shelf this season.
