Rea was placed on the disabled list with Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday with an undisclosed injury, Bill Center of MLB.com reports.

Zach Davies SP | WAS
Brewers' Zach Davies: To make two more rehab starts
Davies (shoulder) will need at least two more outings in the minor leagues prior to returning from the disabled list, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Davies has been on the shelf since June 1 with right rotator cuff inflammation. The 25-year-old right-hander made his second start at Triple-A Colorado Springs on Wednesday, and despite getting knocked around for five runs over 2.2 innings, he didn't suffer any further setbacks. He'll need to make it through two more rehab performances before the Brewers will consider activating him from the disabled list.

Antonio Senzatela RP | MIL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Robbed of victory in St. Louis
Senzatela tossed six innings, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while fanning five Thursday against the Cardinals, but he wouldn't factor into the decision.
Senzatela gave up one run in the third inning on a sacrifice fly, but he'd exit the ballgame with a one-run lead after tossing 96 pitches (59 strikes). He was in line for the win until the Cardinals rallied in the ninth and secured the walkoff victory. The 23-year-old right-hander owns a 4.56 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 37 strikeouts over 47.1 frames heading into his next start, which is slated for Tuesday against Pittsburgh.

Miles Mikolas RP | WAS
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Fans six vs. Rockies in no-decision
Mikolas tossed seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out six Thursday as he didn't factor into the decision against the Rockies.
Mikolas tossed a solid outing, allowing just one earned run in the fourth. He'd exit the ballgame with a one-run deficit, although the Cardinals would rally in the ninth to get the victory. Mikolas looked sharp throughout the month of July, making five starts and surrendering 11 runs over 27 innings while recording 19 punchouts. He'll head into his next start with a 2.75 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with a 97:25 K:BB through 137.1 frames.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Throws from 90 feet
Manager Dave Martinez said Strasburg (neck) was able to increase his throwing distance to 90 feet prior to Wednesday's game and will likely require a minor-league start before being activated from the DL, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
Martinez added that Strasburg will throw from 90 feet once again before embarking on a rehab assignment. If all goes according to plan, look for Strasburg to take the mound in a minor-league game within the next week, which could line him up for a return against the Cubs next weekend.

Drew Smyly SP | CHC
Cubs' Drew Smyly: Tosses simulated game
Smyly (elbow) threw another simulated game Thursday, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
This marked Smyly's third simulated game in the past couple weeks as he continues to work back from Tommy John surgery he underwent last June. Look for him to advance to a minor-league rehab assignment in the near future.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Likely DL bound
Assistant general manager John Ricco said Thursday that Matz (forearm) is dealing with a mild flexor-pronator strain and is expected to miss his next start, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Ricco added that "there's a good chance we take the conservative route," meaning that the club will likely put Matz on the 10-day disabled list and skip his upcoming turn -- Sunday against Atlanta -- in the rotation. That being said, Matz is still listed as the Sunday's stater, per Tim Britton of The Athletic, so expect another update in the near future.

Wes Parsons RP | CLE
Braves' Wes Parsons: Sent back down to minors
Parsons was optioned back to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
Just a day after being called up from Gwinnett, Parsons was cast off the active roster in order to make room for the recently acquired Kevin Gausman. Parsons has yet to make an appearance at the big-league level this season and will continue serving as organization depth in Triple-A.

Ian Anderson RP | ATL
Braves' Ian Anderson: Throws 7.2 innings of no-hit ball
Anderson covered 7.2 hitless innings and issued one walk while striking out five Wednesday in his start for High-A Florida.
After reaching 100 pitches midway through the eighth inning, Anderson wasn't given a chance to complete the no-hit bid, which was lost in the 11th inning. Anderson nonetheless worked deeper into the contest than in any of his previous 48 career starts as a professional, all while facing only two more hitters than the minimum. The 20-year-old right-hander has allowed two runs or less in 15 of his 19 starts with Florida this season, netting him a 2.57 ERA across 94.2 innings.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Listed as Sunday's starter
Matz (forearm) remains the listed starter for Sunday's game against the Braves, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Though this is obviously a good sign concerning Matz's status after he received clean results from an MRI on Thursday, don't perceive this as a guarantee that the left-hander will be on the mound this weekend since there hasn't been an official confirmation from manager Mickey Callaway. It's slightly surprising that the Mets will thrust him right back into action on normal rest after experiencing a "dead arm" during Tuesday's start, but more should be known in the coming days.
