Vince Velasquez RP | KC
Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Next start pushed to Sunday
Velasquez will make his next start Sunday against the Nationals instead of Saturday, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.
After Friday's game was rained out, the Phillies opted to have Nick Pivetta move back to start Saturday's game. Thankfully, Velasquez's start only has to be delayed one day due to the decision to play a split doubleheader Sunday to make up Friday's contest. The young fireballer is expected to start the nightcap of the doubleheader against Washington ace Max Scherzer, a much tougher assignment than his original opponent, southpaw Gio Gonzalez.

Aaron Nola SP | PHI
Phillies' Aaron Nola: Tabbed for rehab start Monday
Nola (back) will make his next rehab appearance with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday, Ryan Lawrence of PhillyVoice.com reports.
There is a lot of speculation that this will also be Nola's final rehab appearance, although a confirmation of this likely won't come until after Monday's start. If all goes as planned, the right-hander would seemingly be in line to start May 20 on the road against the Pirates.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Potential option for long-relief role
Per manager Dave Roberts, Hill (finger) may be moved to the bullpen if his start Tuesday against the Giants doesn't go well, MLB Network Radio reports.
The veteran southpaw has only appeared in two games this season, and given the success of the other players who filled in for him while he was hurt, Roberts seems inclined to make Hill earn his way back into the rotation.

Zack Greinke SP | KC
Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke: Gives up one hit, strikes out 11 batters
Greinke (4-2) gave up one run on one hit and one walk over eight innings in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Pirates and struck out 11 batters.
After a forgettable first season in the desert, Greinke has returned to ace-like form in 2017, and saved his most masterful performance for Thursday. He faced the minimum number of batters and carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning before the Pirates' Gregory Polanco hit a leadoff homer to spoil the effort. Still, thanks to a wicked slider and an excellent job painting the strike zone, Greinke was able to record 24 outs on an efficient 107 pitches before closer Fernando Rodney pitched a scoreless ninth inning to give the 33-year-old his fourth win of the campaign. With a 2.79 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 58:9 K:BB through 51.2 innings this season, Greinke has looked like one of the early frontrunners for the NL Cy Young award.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Hit hard in return from DL
Ryu (1-5) was hit hard in his return from a hip injury, giving up 10 runs (five earned) on eight hits and six walks over four innings in Thursday's 10-7 loss to the Rockies. He struck out four.
Ryu had the relative misfortune of drawing Coors Field as the setting for his first start off the disabled list and was pounded from the first inning onward despite not giving up any home runs. Ian Desmond, Nolan Arenado and Carlos Gonzalez all tagged him for RBI doubles in the first and second innings, netting six runs overall. The 30-year-old southpaw gave up a season high in hits, runs, earned runs and walks, while also turning in his shortest stint of the season. Ryu will look to bounce back in a park much friendlier to pitchers when he takes on the Giants in a road start next Tuesday.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Starting Tuesday's game
Hill (finger) will start Tuesday's game against the Giants, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Since the season began, Hill has started just two games and pitched eight innings. In that time he's allowed three earned runs on seven hits, two of which were home runs. Hill threw five shutout frames in a rehab game at High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday.

Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Placed on disabled list
Maeda was placed on the disabled list Thursday with hamstring tightness.
Maeda threw a fantastic game Wednesday, as he allowed just two runs over 8.1 innings and earned his third win of the season, so seeing him land on the disabled list comes as a bit of a surprise. At this point in time there's yet to be any news regarding the severity of Maeda's injury, but more details should become available soon. Hyun-Jin Ryu (hip) came off the DL on Thursday, while Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) and Rich Hill (finger) are expected to be activated early next week, so it's unlikely that the Dodgers will need to recall anyone from Triple-A Oklahoma City to temporarily replace Maeda in the rotation.

Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Dealing with inflamed knee
Anderson's start was moved to Saturday due to knee inflammation, Jenny Cavnar of ROOT Sports reports.
Apparently Anderson was experiencing inflammation in his left knee after his last start, which was May 6 against the Diamondbacks. Anderson was scheduled to pitch Thursday's game against the Dodgers, but the club thought it would be best to give him a couple more days to rest and moved his start to Saturday. Through seven starts this season, Anderson is 2-3 with a 6.69 ERA and 1.51 WHIP.

Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Start slides to Saturday
Anderson had his scheduled start moved to Saturday against the Dodgers, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
The lefty was initially going to start Thursday's series opener with Los Angeles, but the Rockies made a last-minute change and opted to bring up prospect Jeff Hoffman to start Thursday. It's unclear why this change was made, but more information should become available soon. Anderson is now lined up to face Alex Wood in Game 3 of the four-game series with the Dodgers.
