Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Wednesday start postponed
Wainwright won't make his scheduled start Wednesday against the Brewers after the game was postponed due to to inclement weather.
The Cardinals have yet to announce a make-up date for the game. The team also relayed that the start time for Thursday's series finale would be pushed back from 1:45 p.m. EST to 7:15 p.m. EST. Though manager Mike Matheny has yet to confirm his rotation plans in light of the postponement, it's likely that the Cardinals will just push each of their starters back one day, so Wainwright is expected to pitch Thursday.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: Wednesday's game postponed
Anderson will not pitch Wednesday night after the game was postponed due to inclement weather.
The right-hander was initially due to face off with St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright, but a heavy dose of rain ended those plans for the moment. No pitching plans have been revealed at this time, but it seems like a good bet that Anderson would simply slide back to Thursday's contest, which is now rescheduled to be a night game.

Jordan Lyles RP | KC
Rockies' Jordan Lyles: Struggles in big-league bullpen
Lyles holds a 10.03 ERA and a 1.97 WHIP through 11.2 innings of work in the month of April.
Thanks to a plethora of injuries plaguing the Rockies out of spring training, Lyles cracked the big-league roster, but he's been less than stellar during his time in Denver this season. He's allowed at least two runs in his past three appearances, and he's already served up four home runs on the campaign. If there's a silver lining to this all, it's that Lyles has fanned 13 batters thus far, which normally is not a huge aspect of his game. However, even with an uptick in strikeouts, the 26-year-old's role and performance should limit any intrigue on him moving forward.

Mauricio Cabrera SP | ATL
Braves' Mauricio Cabrera: Struggling with control in rehab outings
Cabrera (elbow) completed a scoreless inning for Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday, but threw just six of his 17 pitches for strikes, MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports.
He has thrown 24 of his 51 pitches for strikes during his rehab assignment, but has not allowed a run while striking out four over four innings. Cabrera is a decent long-term saves play in dynasty leagues, but he will likely be behind at least Jim Johnson and Arodys Vizcaino in the pecking order when he gets activated this season.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Fans eight in win over Giants
Wood was charged with five runs (four earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out eight over five innings in a win over the Giants on Tuesday.
The Dodgers' offense provided plenty of support, scoring nine runs against opposing starter Matt Moore and 13 runs in total. Wood now has a 27:9 K:BB over 24.2 innings this season, but five of those free passes came in one appearance. The lefty has issued just three walks in his last four appearances spanning 19 innings. He lines up for a home matchup against the Pirates on Monday.

Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD
Pirates' Tyler Glasnow: Gets first W in Cincinnati
Glasnow (1-1) earned his first major-league victory Tuesday, limiting the Reds to three earned runs on four hits and four walks in six innings. He struck out five.
He gave up all three runs in a 36-pitch first inning before settling down. This quality start was Glasnow's first in nine career outings. He's walked 17 batters in 20.2 innings and holds a 6.97 ERA, but the Pirates appear set to continue the fireballer's development at the major-league level; he touched 98 mph with his fastball in this one. Glasnow also went 1-for-2 with two walks and three RBI, helping his own cause.

Seth Lugo SP | KC
Mets' Seth Lugo: Throws off rubber Tuesday
Lugo (elbow) was able to throw a 20-pitch side session off the rubber Tuesday, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.
In his most recent throwing session Sunday, Lugo was restricted to tossing off the slope of the mound, so the fact that he was on top of the mound two days later marks a small step forward. The right-hander opened the season as the Mets' long man out of the bullpen, but if he meets his goal of returning from the disabled list by late May, Lugo could assume a rotation spot with Noah Syndergaard (back) at risk of missing the next several months.
-
Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Throws off rubber for first time
Matz (elbow) threw about 20 pitches off the rubber in a side session Tuesday, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.
It's a small step forward in the recovery process for Matz, who had previously been limited to throwing off the slope of the mound in his last workout Sunday. Matz should gradually increase his pitch count in subsequent bullpen sessions before advancing to facing hitters. The Mets don't have an official timetable for his return from the 10-day disabled list, but it's still looking as though he's multiple weeks away.

Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Set to receive second opinion
Syndergaard (back) will meet with Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles on Wednesday to receive a second opinion on his injury, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
Syndergaard was diagnosed with a partially torn lat muscle following his early removal from his start Sunday against the Nationals and was shuttled to the 10-day disabled list shortly thereafter. While the Mets are officially viewing Syndergaard as out indefinitely, it's expected that he could be sidelined for around three months if ElAttrache confirms the original diagnosis of the right-hander's injury. Pitching depth has been a strength for the Mets in past seasons, but the organization doesn't appear adequately prepared to cover for the absence of arguably its top starter, especially with Steven Matz (elbow) and Seth Lugo (elbow) both several weeks away from returning from injuries of their own. Rafael Montero is expected to be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday to receive the first crack at replacing Syndergaard in the rotation.

Carlos Martinez SP | SF
Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Earns first win Tuesday
Martinez (1-3) allowed just an unearned run on four hits and a walk over 7.1 innings in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Brewers. He struck out four.
The right-hander was sharp all game, throwing 72 of 105 pitches for strikes to record his third quality start in six trips to the mound this year. Martinez will look to build on that momentum in his next start Sunday in Atlanta.
