Roupp (7-6) earned the win Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing four hits and one walk in five shutout innings. He struck out six.

Roupp delivered his third scoreless start in his last six games, and he hasn't conceded more than two runs in any outing during that stretch. While the right-hander had a poor 5.10 ERA following his April 30 start in San Diego, he's produced a much-improved 2.27 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 60:28 K:BB over his last 14 appearances (71.1 innings). Roupp will look to keep the good times rolling in a soft spot at home versus the last-place Pirates his next time out.

Montas (3-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Angels, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Montas set a season high in both strikeouts and hits allowed during the outing. Four of those eight knocks traveled for extra bases, and the 32-year-old right-hander has been unable to complete six innings in any of his first five starts this year. Montas hasn't established himself as a reliable fantasy option quite yet, posting a 4.62 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB over 25.1 frames, and he'll remain difficult to trust in next week's scheduled matchup in San Diego against the Padres.

Gordon is expected to be called up from Triple-A Albuquerque to start Wednesday versus the Cardinals at Coors Field, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Gordon is set to join the rotation as a replacement for German Marquez (biceps), who is headed to the 15-day injured list. The 27-year-old righty has previously made three starts for Colorado this season, logging a 4.24 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 17 innings.

Marquez said Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with right biceps tendon inflammation and is likely to land on the injured list, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Marquez sustained the injury in his start in Sunday's loss to the Twins. The Rockies haven't provided a timeline for Marquez's return, but he'll likely be out for longer than the minimum 15 days. The Rockies plan to recall Tanner Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday to replace Marquez on the 26-man active roster and in the rotation.

Cortes (elbow) is scheduled to make his next rehab appearance Thursday and is expected to throw around 90 pitches, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Cortes has thus far made three rehab appearances between High-A Wisconsin and Triple-A Nashville, covering 12.1 innings in total and striking out nine while allowing one run on six hits and two walks. Assuming he checks out fine physically following Thursday's outing, Cortes will likely be cleared to return from the 60-day injured list next week. Though all five of the Brewers' starting pitchers are pitching effectively at the moment, Milwaukee could expand to a six-man rotation in order to accommodate Cortes' return.

Nola (ankle/rib) will begin a rehab assignment next week as long as he gets through another live batting practice session this weekend with no issues, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Nola faced hitters this past weekend for the first time since going on the injured list in mid-May and is progressing well, per Phillies manager Rob Thomson. The veteran right-hander initially went on the IL with a sprained ankle and later was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his rib. Given his long layoff, Nola will require multiple rehab outings before rejoining the Philadelphia rotation.

The Padres recalled Hart from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Hart will provide reinforcement behind Tuesday's starter Stephen Kolek and could potentially follow the latter out of the bullpen. Hart has posted a 5.83 ERA and 19:6 K:BB over 29.1 innings at the big-league level this season.

Kolek -- who holds a 4.24 ERA and 49:22 K:BB across 68 major-league innings -- will draw the start Tuesday in Miami. Kyle Hart was also recalled and could form a piggyback situation with Kolek on Tuesday.

Wiggins has a 2.25 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB in 36 innings through eight starts for Double-A Knoxville.

A 6-foot-6 righty who came into the year with big stuff and significant bullpen risk, Wiggins' 10.4 percent walk rate at Double-A is his best mark since he had a 6.3 percent walk rate at Single-A in 2024. Even with his improved control, drawing a walk against Wiggins is as good of a proposition as trying to get a hit, as he's issued 12 walks while allowing 10 hits over his last six starts and has a .150 batting average against this season. He boasts an upper-90s fastball and can touch triple digits, and he also wields a plus slider and solid changeup.

Solometo was pulled off his rehab assignment with Single-A Bradenton in late June after he experienced recurrent shoulder discomfort, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

After allowing just one run over 10 innings in his first two starts of the season for Double-A Altoona, Solometo was placed on the 7-day injured list due to shoulder soreness. He was later transferred to the 60-day IL, but he appeared on track to rejoin the Altoona rotation shortly before the All-Star break after he was cleared to join Bradenton for a rehab assignment June 18. However, after being roughed up for three runs (two earned) while retiring just two batters in his lone start with Bradenton, Solometo was pulled off the assignment and now remains without a clear timeline to resume pitching. Once regarded as one of the more promising pitching prospects in the Pittsburgh system, Solometo struggled mightily at the Double-A level in 2024, and his persistent shoulder problems this season have his arrow trending down even further.
