Darvish (elbow) won't pitch during San Diego's three-game series in Toronto that begins Tuesday, Annie Heilbrunn of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Darvish made a minor-league rehab start with Triple-A El Paso last Wednesday and allowed two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out four batters over four innings. He threw 51 pitches and averaged 94.5 mph on his fastball, leading to some speculation that the veteran right-hander could make his next start with San Diego, However, Padres manager Mike Shildt confirmed Sunday that Darvish won't return during the three-game series versus the Blue Jays that begins Tuesday, saying, "What I can tell you is he's going to continue to work on throwing and getting some other things taken care of, and he will not be pitching in Toronto." It isn't yet clear when -- or if -- Darvish will make another rehab start with El Paso, but he appears to be nearing activation from the injured list and still seems to be on track to return by the end of May.

Kikuchi (ankle) is feeling fine following Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Kikuchi exited the contest in the bottom of the sixth inning with right ankle irritation after retiring two batters in the frame. The left-hander explained that he would've stayed in the contest and pitched through the issue had it been earlier in the game. Kikuchi appears to be all set to toe the rubber for his next projected start Friday against the Marlins.

Jones (elbow) may have to undergo Tommy John surgery, John Perrotto of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

Jones has missed the entirety of the 2025 season to this point while nursing a UCL sprain in his right elbow, and it now appears that he'll require surgery. With the Pirates well out of contention, the move comes as no surprise since there's no reason to take any chances with his health. It's a disappointing turn of events for fantasy managers though, as the right-hander was coming off of a 2024 rookie campaign in which he compiled a 4.14 ERA and 9.8 K/9 over 121.2 innings in 22 starts with Pittsburgh. Jones will now likely be sidelined for not only the remainder of 2025, but likely most, if not all, of the 2026 campaign.

King (4-2) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out eight over 5.1 innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Mariners.

King ran into trouble in the fourth inning, where he allowed three runs, and the Padres were unable to answer. He had not allowed more than three runs in any of his first nine starts this season. Despite his overall success -- 2.59 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 64:17 K:BB through 55.2 innings, he's completed six innings in just two of his 10 outings so far. His next start is tentatively projected to be at Atlanta. He's already faced Atlanta once this season, allowing three runs over 2.2 innings in his first start of the campaign, but he's had no trouble bouncing back from that humble season debut.

Woo (5-1) allowed a run on five hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win Sunday over the Padres.

Woo turned in another fantastic outing, with the lone run coming early on a Fernando Tatis solo shot to lead off the bottom of the first inning. Woo has allowed one run or fewer in five of his nine outings this season, and this was his seventh quality start. It was also the third time in four starts in May he hasn't issued a walk, as he continues to dominate with control. Woo is at a 2.65 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 55:8 K:BB through 57.2 innings this season. His next start is projected to be on the road versus the Astros.

Mozzicato was promoted to Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Sunday, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.

Mozzicato has produced a sparkling 1.24 ERA and 1.02 WHIP with 37 strikeouts over 36.1 innings in seven starts with High-A Quad Cities this year. The 21-year-old will now look to keep it up at the Double-A level in hopes of earning another promotion this season.

Springs allowed a run on two hits and struck out five without walking a batter over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Sunday.

Aside from a Heliot Ramos solo shot to lead off the bottom of the first inning, Springs was nearly untouchable Sunday, though the same can't be said of the Athletics' bullpen. Springs has been fantastic in May, allowing just four runs over 24.2 innings despite a pedestrian 14:5 K:BB. This was his fifth quality start in 10 outings this season, and he's maintained a 3.91 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 41:21 K:BB over 53 innings. The southpaw's next start is projected to be at home versus the Phillies.

Verlander allowed two runs on three hits and five walks while striking out one over four innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Sunday.

Verlander's control issues cropped up again Sunday, as he threw just 41 of 84 pitches for strikes. He was able to mostly limit the damage despite his inefficiency, though he left in line for the loss after giving up a two-run single to Lawrence Butler in the fourth inning. The Giants' two-run eighth inning spared Verlander from another loss. This was just the second time he's failed to complete five innings this year, but he's doing little more than eating innings. He's at a 4.33 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 41:21 K:BB through 52 innings over 10 starts so far. He's lined up for a favorable road matchup versus the Nationals in his next outing.

Kikuchi exited Sunday's contest against the Dodgers in the bottom of the sixth inning with right ankle irritation, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Kikuchi tossed 5.2 innings of one-run ball before being forced to leave his start early. The left-hander was at 98 pitches overall, so he was likely set to finish his day after the frame anyway. More information on his status will likely come in the near future, and it's unclear if he's in doubt of missing his next projected start Friday versus the Marlins.

Peralta (5-3) earned the win Sunday against the Twins, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.

The only blemish on the Milwaukee ace's 90-pitch performance was a Royce Lewis solo homer in the fourth inning. Peralta has been a dependable starter over his last six outings, going 4-2 with a 2.78 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB across 27.1 innings. Through 55.2 total frames, the 28-year-old sports a 2.59 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with a 9.2 K/9. Peralta is currently scheduled to make his next start against the feeble Pirates in Pittsburgh next weekend.
