White Sox's Tim Anderson: Fills box score
Anderson went 2-for-3 with two walks, two RBI, two stolen bases and a run scored Thursday against the Royals.
Anderson reached base on a walk in the second inning and proceeded to steal both second and third base. One frame later, he delivered a two-RBI single. Anderson continues to swing a hot bat, as he has tallied multiple hits in seven of his last 12 starts while also racking up five RBI and six runs scored. For the season, Anderson has maintained a .346/.386/.493 line to go along with four homers and seven stolen bases across 145 plate appearances.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Red Sox's Trevor Story: Turns in huge stat line
Story went 4-for-4 with three home runs, seven RBI, five runs scored and a stolen base Thursday against the Mariners.
Story blasted a pair of two-run homers plus a three-run shot to bring his total on the season to five. Overshadowed by his powerful performance, Story also swiped his fifth bag of the campaign and has yet to be caught. He raised his OPS over 100 points with the effort but still owns a disappointing .230/.317/.413 line across 145 plate appearances for the season.

Jorge Mateo SS | ATL
Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Registers 11th steal
Mateo went 1-for-3 with a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored during Thursday's 9-6 win over the Yankees. He struck out twice.
Mateo gave the Orioles a 3-2 lead with an RBI single in the third and proceed to steal second base, his 11th of the season. The shortstop also reached on catcher's interference in the sixth and came around to score on a Cedric Mullins sacrifice fly. Mateo is hitting only .237 to start the season, but his 11 steals are tied with Julio Rodriguez for the most in the majors.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Not in Thursday's lineup
Crawford isn't starting Thursday against the Red Sox, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Crawford will get a chance to reset after he went 1-for-12 with a strikeout over the last three games. Dylan Moore will start at shortstop and bat eighth.

Bobby Witt SS | KC
Royals' Bobby Witt: Swats solo homer
Witt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run -- his fourth of the season -- in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the White Sox.
The rookie delivered a modest .558 OPS in April, but he's begun to resemble the elite prospect he was billed as through the Royals' first 17 games of May. Over that three-week stretch, Witt is slashing .233/.292/.517 while providing all four of his home runs this month. He'll hit out of the No. 3 spot for the third game in a row in Thursday's series finale, with his ascension into a prominent spot in the lineup coinciding with Salvador Perez's (thumb) placement on the injured list.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Blasts fourth homer
Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Astros.
Bogaerts gave the Red Sox an early 2-1 lead with a solo blast in the first, which was his second home run of the three-game series. Across 15 games in May, the shortstop is slashing .281/.364/.820 with three homers and seven RBI.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Collects three hits
Anderson went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Wednesday against the Royals.
Anderson was one of the few positives offensively for Chicago in the 6-2 loss, and he delivered an RBI single in the fifth inning. It was his sixth multi-hit game in his last 11 starts, during which he's tallied four RBI and five runs scored. For the season, Anderson has maintained a .338/.371/.489 line across 140 plate appearances.

Wander Franco SS | TB
Rays' Wander Franco: Swipes fourth base
Franco went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base Wednesday against the Tigers.
Franco reached base multiple times in a game for the first time in seven starts, collecting only one hit across 26 at-bats in the span. However, Franco was productive early on in Wednesday's game, tallying his run scored in the first frame prior to stealing his fourth base of the season one inning later. Overall, Franco is hitting .272/.297/.429 with 23 runs scored, 16 RBI and four home runs across 155 plate appearances on the campaign.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Twins' Carlos Correa: Scores twice in return
Correa went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two runs scored and an RBI on Wednesday against the Athletics.
Correa returned from the injured list after recovering from a finger injury that cost him nearly two weeks. He singled and scored his first time at the plate and followed that up with an RBI double in the fourth frame. Correa has lacked power early on in the campaign, though the recent uptick in offense around the league bodes well for his potential to experience improved results.

Kevin Smith DH | NYY
Athletics' Kevin Smith: Second straight two-hit effort
Smith went 2-for-4 in a loss to the Twins on Wednesday, his second consecutive two-hit effort.
With Wednesday's production, Smith pulled his average back up over the Mendoza Line to .209. The 25-year-old had belted his second home run of the season in Tuesday's win, a two-run shot that had staked Oakland to an early 2-0 lead in what was ultimately a 5-2 victory. Nine of Smith's 19 hits have impressively gone for extra bases thus far, so if he can continue to pick up the pace at the plate the more he acclimates to big-league arms, he could turn into a viable fantasy asset over the course of his rookie season.
