Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Removed from game with hand injury
Bogaerts was spiked on his left hand, requiring a bandage, and was eventually replaced for the final two innings of Wednesday night's win over Colorado, WEEI.com reports.
As Colorado's Carlos Gonzalez attempted to stretch a single into a double, his spike caught Bogaerts left hand. We expect more details leading up to Thursday's series finale against the Rockies.

Luis Sardinas SS | WAS
Mariners' Luis Sardinas: Will start Wednesday
Sardinas is in the lineup and batting eighth for Wednesday's game against the A's, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Sardinas was recalled earlier in the day after finding his stroke offensively at Triple-A. With Ketel Marte on the 15-day DL, it is likely that Sardinas receives numerous starts until he is back to full strength. Although he was a non-factor at the plate in his first stint with the Mariners, Sardinas has been on fire lately and could be a player to watch over the course of the next couple weeks.

Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Athletics' Joe Wendle: Records hit and walk
Wendle went 1-for-4 with a walk in Triple-A Nashville's 3-2 loss to Sacramento on Sunday.
Wendle has been mired in a slump for most of the season and he's now 3-for-23 (.130) over his last six games. The 26-year-old has proven that he's not a sub-Mendoza line hitter, however, as last season with Nashville, he batted .289 over 618 plate appearances. Given his history of success in the minors (career .283 BA) Oakland could call him up at some point in 2016 but he'll have to show that he can produce better than the .204 average he currently has in 2016.

Mariners' Luis Sardinas: Recalled Wednesday
Sardinas was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.
Sardinas received a promotion while the Mariners sent Chris Taylor down to Triple-A. The 23-year-old was ineffective in his first stint with the Mariners, hitting just .154/.185/.269 in 12 games to start the season. However, he has been scorching hot in Triple-A thus far, hitting .406/.457/.438 with four RBI and two stolen bases and will look to build on that success in Seattle.

Cliff Pennington SS | CIN
Angels' Cliff Pennington: Setting out on rehab assignment Wednesday
Pennington (hamstring) will begin his rehab assignment Wednesday at High-A Inland Empire.
The utility infielder has been on the shelf since May 13 due to a hamstring issue, but he has progressed quickly since landing on the DL and is nearing a return. He's expected to be activated off the DL on Saturday, so he'll play at least one game at High-A before being returning to the Angels. Gregorio Petit and Johnny Giavotella have both been on tears of late, so Pennington could potentially be relegated to a bench role once he rejoins the big league club.

Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Indians' Francisco Lindor: Goes 3-for-5 with stolen base in Tuesday's win
Lindor went 3-for-5 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the White Sox.
The three-hit night broke up a 1-for-12 slump for Lindor, who is also an outstanding 9-for-10 on his stolen-base attempts for the season. Manager Terry Francona is expected to rest Lindor for Wednesday's series finale, which will likely open up a start for either Jose Ramirez or Michael Martinez at shortstop.

Indians' Francisco Lindor: Not in Wednesday's lineup
Lindor is not in the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox.
As expected, Lindor will get a scheduled day off Wednesday, his first of the season. The shortstop is hitting .340 in the month of May and notched three hits, an RBI and a steal in Tuesday's win over Chicago.

Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Leads MLB in batting
Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored in Tuesday night's win over Colorado.
While Jackie Bradley attracts much attention thanks to his 28-game hitting streak, Bogaerts' 17-game hitting streak has flown under the radar. The shortstop has gone 31-for-76 (.408) during his streak and has vaulted to the top of MLB with a .349 batting average.

Luis Sardinas SS | WAS
Mariners' Luis Sardinas: Expected to return from Tacoma
Sardinas will likely be recalled from Triple-A Tacoma, possibly as soon as Wednesday, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Chris Taylor committed two errors Monday, resulting in four unearned runs against Seattle, and Sardinas was absent from Tacoma's lineup Tuesday. Sardinas has now reached 10 days in the minors, going 13-for-32 in his eight games with the Rainiers, and is allowed return to Seattle without the team needing to place another player on the DL. Ketel Marte (thumb) is not expected to be ready to return when first eligible.
