Jose Barrero SS | BAL
Reds' Jose Garcia: Gets call to majors
Garcia's contract was purchased by the Reds on Wednesday. He is starting at shortstop and hitting eighth against the Brewers.
Garcia, one of the team's top prospects, is set to join the big club despite having never played above High-A. While the Reds will waste no time getting the 22-year-old into their lineup, it would be quite the feat if Garcia proved to be a quality big-league hitter in 2020 given his lack of experience above High-A. Pedro Strop was designated for assignment to free up a roster spot for Garcia.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Another productive night
Edman went 1-for-4 with a two-run ground-rule double, a walk and a run in a loss to the Royals on Tuesday.
Edman erased an early 2-0 deficit for the Cardinals with his third-inning two-bagger, giving him five RBI over his last three games. The 25-year-old's .234/.319/.359 slash still has plenty of room for improvement, but Edman's .348 average over his last seven contests have certainly started his climb back to offensive respectability.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Raps out three hits
DeJong went 3-for-4 with an RBI infield single in a loss to the Royals on Tuesday.
After an 0-for-4 day upon his return to action Sunday against the Reds, DeJong is now 4-for-9 with four RBI over the subsequent two games. The shortstop is still looking to get his power production going in earnest, however, as he has just one home run over his first 32 plate appearances after averaging a round tripper every 22.1 trips to the batter's box in 2019.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Dodgers' Corey Seager: Goes deep again
Seager went 2-for-6 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's extra-innings loss to San Francisco.
Seager unknotted a 3-3 game in the third inning with a 447-foot solo shot to center field. The long ball was the second in as many games for the shortstop, who has now collected 10 multi-hit games on the season. Seager is hitting a steady .300/.340/.600 with eight homers, 21 RBI and 18 runs scored in 106 plate appearances in 2020.

Story went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored, a walk and two stolen bases in Tuesday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Marlins' Jon Berti: Three steals, two runs in win
Berti went 0-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs scored and a pair of walks in a 4-0 win over the Mets in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.
Berti was a menace on the basepaths in the sixth inning. He drew a walk, then stole second, third and home against the Mets' battery of Jeurys Familia and rookie catcher Ali Sanchez. The crazy sequence gave Berti eight stolen bases, 14 runs scored, six RBI and a homer in 19 games this season. The defensively versatile 30-year-old will likely continue to earn playing time with a spot at the top of the batting order.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: On bench for Game 2
Rojas is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Rojas will receive the night off after going 1-for-3 with two RBI in the matinee. Jonathan Villar will shift to shortstop for Game 2, with Logan Forsythe starting at the keystone.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Crushes ninth homer
Story went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
Story gave the Rockies an early lead with a solo shot off Diamondbacks starter Taylor Clarke in the first inning. That was Story's ninth homer of the year. He's batting .297/.362/.602 with 18 RBI, 26 runs scored and five stolen bases across 29 games. He's gone 6-for-21 (.286) with two homers, three RBI and four runs scored during his current five-game hitting streak.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Drives in three
DeJong went 1-for-3 with a double, three RBI, a run scored and a walk in Monday's 9-3 win over the Royals.
After going hitless in his return from the COVID-19 injured list Sunday, DeJong was able to contribute to a Cardinals' win with some nice at-bats Monday. He got the Redbirds on the board with a sacrifice fly in the first and extended the lead to 4-0 with a two-run double in the fifth. The shortstop has six hits in 25 at-bats this season.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Fills up box score in win
Edman went 2-for-4 with two singles, an RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's win over the Royals.
Edman shifted to second base with Kolten Wong getting the night off Monday. He reached base three times, increasing his on-base percentage to .313 on the campaign. Expect Edman to receive most of his playing time at third base going forward, with Wong likely returning to the lineup Tuesday.
