  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Retreats to bench Monday

Arcia is not in the lineup Monday against the Giants.

Arcia has been swinging the bat well as of late, collecting 14 hits in over the past 14 games. However, he'll get a night off on the heels of a two-strikeout performance Sunday, allowing Eric Sogard to pick up a start at shortstop.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Braves' Dansby Swanson: Heads to bench Monday

Swanson is not in the lineup Monday against the Phillies.

Swanson has shown signs of life at the plate recently, collecting a hit in each of his last three contests, although he's also struck out four times in that span. He'll head to the bench for a night off Monday with Johan Camargo taking over for him at shortstop.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Smacks RBI double in Sunday's loss

Diaz went 2-for-3 with an RBI ground-rule double, another two-bagger and a walk in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Cubs.

The Cuban shortstop snapped an RBI drought Sunday, as he hadn't driven in a run since May 10. His multi-hit effort was also his first since May 27, but Diaz does now have a modest three-game hitting streak to start June. After a sluggish April, Diaz is slashing .302/.353/.396 over the last month (27 games).

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Nationals' Trea Turner: Runs wild Sunday

Turner went 2-for-4 with a triple, a walk, two steals, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the A's.

It's his fifth multi-hit performance in the last seven games, a stretch during which Turner is hitting .343/.361/.400 with six runs, three RBI and five steals. The 23-year-old is now 16-for-19 on the basepaths through 45 games, putting him on pace to top 50 steals in his first full big-league campaign.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Drives in four runs against Phillies

Crawford went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and four RBI during Sunday's loss to Philadelphia.

Since returning from the disabled list May 11, Crawford sports a .272/.307/.420 slash line with two homers, 16 RBI and 10 runs over 22 games. Those are respectable numbers for a middle infielder, and Crawford probably has room for improvement after posting a .777 OPS with 168 RBI over the previous two seasons.

  • Trevor Story SS | BOS

Rockies' Trevor Story: Drives in two Sunday

Story was 2-for-4 with two RBI Sunday in a 3-1 win against the Padres.

It's still not the rookie campaign that had everyone talking, but Story is now 9-for-27 in his last seven games and looking like he's coming around at least a little bit. His .207 batting average is an eyesore, and his .731 OPS is not much better. The 24-year-old will still be the everyday shortstop for Colorado for the foreseeable future.

  • Padres' Chase d'Arnaud: Heads to bench Sunday

D'Arnaud is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Bob Scanlan of Fox Sports San Diego reports.

It appears that the Padres will utilize a rough timeshare between d'Arnaud and Erick Aybar at shortstop moving forward. With d'Arnaud starting the past two contests, Aybar will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against Jeff Hoffman and the Rockies.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Braves' Dansby Swanson: Moves up to No. 2 spot

Swanson will start at shortstop and bat second Sunday against the Reds.

Swanson had been serving as the Braves' No. 8 or 9 hitter in recent games, but he'll move into the upper third of the lineup in the series finale with Brandon Phillips receiving the afternoon off. While batting out of the two-hole this season, Swanson has recorded just 10 hits in 70 at-bats (.143 average).

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Smashes ninth homer of season Saturday

Baez went 2-for-3 with a solo homer Saturday against the Cardinals.

Baez blasted his ninth bomb of the campaign off Mike Leake to help the Cubs earn a divisional win. He's now homered four times over his last 11 games, and although his batting average and on-base percentage leave much to be desired, his .507 slugging percentage gives him a bit of fantasy value.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Braves' Dansby Swanson: Pops fifth homer Friday

Swanson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Reds.

The fifth-inning shot was Swanson's fifth home run of the season. The young shortstop had gone just 2-for-29 over nine games heading into the contest and while he still has a seemingly bright future, it's clear Swanson has a lot of adjustments to make in the majors before he'll be a viable fantasy option in most formats.
