Ahmed went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and two runs scored Tuesday in an 11-3 win over Miami.

Ahmed put the Diamondbacks on the board in the second inning, launching a solo shot to left field for his first long ball of the campaign. He reached base twice more via walk in the contest and scored the team's second run in the fifth frame. After a sluggish start to the campaign, Ahmed has been trending up over his past 16 games, batting .308 over 52 at-bats.

Turner went 3-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Phillies.

Baez was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against Cleveland with lower-back tightness.

The lineup released less than 30 minutes earlier had Baez returning from back tightness. However, manager David Ross said Baez is day-to-day and is not expected to require a stint on the injured list, Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Wendle will not start Tuesday against lefty Jordan Montgomery and the Yankees, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Wendle may be losing starts against southpaws, as he's now been on the bench against four of the last six the Rays have faced. Kevin Padlo will start at third base in his absence.

Baez (back) will start at shortstop and bat third Tuesday against Cleveland, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Baez was out of the lineup for Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Pirates due to back tightness, but he felt well enough to make a late-inning pinch-hitting appearance. After a team off day Monday, Baez looks like he'll be good to go for the Cubs' five-game week. The fact that Chicago is deploying Baez in the field rather than at designated hitter in Cleveland implies that the team is comfortable with his health.

Correa went 1-for-5 with a run scored in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Angels.

Correa was back in the lineup following a day off Sunday, which was designed to give him a break amid a slump to start the month of May. After Monday's effort, which saw him leave three runners in scoring position, Correa is 2-for-32 this month with nine strikeouts and one walk. He's second on the team with average exit velocity of 91 mph, so there's some element of bad luck, but Correa's average launch angle has increased to 15.5. That's translated into fewer line drives and more fly balls.

Crawford went 2-for-5 with a run in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Operating out of the leadoff spot for the first time all season, Crawford continued to wield a hot bat following a brief slump. The shortstop had just slugged his first home run two games ago as part of a 3-for-3 night that kicked off his current three-game hitting streak, and Sunday's multi-hit effort was his fourth in the last nine games overall.
