The Padres promoted Abrams from their rookie-level Arizona League affiliate to Low-A Fort Wayne on Tuesday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The No. 6 overall pick in June's first-year player draft will receive the first promotion of his young career after a 32-game stint in rookie ball. Over his 156 plate appearances with the Arizona League affiliate, the 18-year-old shortstop produced a 1.104 OPS and 10:14 BB:K while nabbing 14 steals in 20 attempts.

Arcia went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI in Monday's victory over the Pirates.

Monday's game was the third multi-hit effort in seven games for Arcia, who has raised his batting average from .221 to .232 over that span. Arcia shared playing time with Tyler Saladino in July, but he has started 11 straight games, and will continue playing every day for the time being, as the Brewers' decision to option Saladino to Triple-A leaves Arcia as the only true shortstop on the big-league roster.

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and a pair of runs in Monday's 2-0 win over Tampa Bay.

Bichette led off the game with a double and scored on a Cavan Biggio single in the first inning. He then hit his third homer of the year in the third inning. He's yet to play in a big-league game in which he didn't record a hit, posting a .417/.462/.833 slash line through the first eight games of his career. Per Jon Heyman of MLB Network, his nine extra-base hits are tied (with Alvin Davis and Trevor Story) for the most over a player's first eight career games.

Baez went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, three RBI and a walk in the Cubs' 6-5 win over the Athletics on Monday.

The 26-year-old continued his prolific power campaign with two more homers, cranking a solo shot off Chris Bassitt in the sixth inning before adding a two-run blast off Blake Treinen in the seventh. Baez has now left the yard 28 times this season, to go along with an excellent .290/.323/.563 slash line over 467 plate appearances.

Anderson went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Monday's 7-4 win over the Tigers.

After an 0-for-7 stumble to close out July following a month-long stay on the IL, Anderson has now hit safely in five straight games, going 8-for-23 (.348) with three doubles and a homer. The 26-year-old shortstop is quickly showing that his early-season success was no sample-size fluke, and he's now slashing .312/.335/.488 on the year.

Adrianza will start at first base and bat seventh Monday against the Braves.

He'll crack the lineup for the fourth time in five games, despite going hitless in 10 at-bats over his prior three starts. Adrianza's ability to cover multiple spots in the infield and outfield enhance his playing-time outlook, but Marwin Gonzalez and Luis Arraez offer similar versatility with higher offensive floors. With that in mind, Adrianza will likely be hard pressed to maintain an everyday spot in the lineup, especially since the Twins are currently down only one regular player (Byron Buxton).

Berti will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Monday in the first game of Monday's doubleheader with the Mets, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.

After starting each of the previous three games at third base and going 5-for-15 with two doubles, a triple and two stolen bases, Berti will shift over a spot in the infield to fill in for a resting Miguel Rojas. The Marlins placed Neil Walker (finger) on the 10-day injured list Monday, potentially opening the door for Berti to stick in an everyday role moving forward. Berti will face his stiffest competition for at-bats from Starlin Castro, who could become more of a factor at the hot corner now that prospect Isan Diaz is poised to take over as the club's top option at the keystone.

Rojas is out of the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader with the Mets, Andre Fernandez of The Athletic reports.

Jon Berti will fill in at shortstop and atop the order as Rojas sits for the first time in 10 games in what likely amounts to maintenance. Expect Rojas to check back into the lineup for the second game of the twin bill, with his absence from the front end of the doubleheader sparing him from a tough matchup versus Mets ace Jacob deGrom. Rojas is batting .271 with three home runs, seven RBI and 11 runs in his 19 games since the All-Star break.

DeJong went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Athletics on Sunday.

DeJong went down on strikes in his other three at-bats, but he extended a modest hitting streak to three games by launching a 418-foot shot to left in the fourth inning off Tanner Roark to open the scoring for either club. DeJong is now 6-for-12 with a double, Sunday's round tripper and two RBI over his first three games of August.

Gordon (quadriceps) could be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Padres without requiring a rehab assignment beforehand, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gordon experienced no issues with his strained left quad muscle while running on the bases Sunday, offering some optimism that he might be able to come off the IL early next week. The Mariners may want to see Gordon complete another workout during Monday's off day before making a formal decision on whether he'll rejoin the big club immediately or head out to the farm for a game or two.
