  • Kendry Rojas RP | MIN

Twins' Kendry Rojas: Bullpen session scheduled

Rojas (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Rojas was cleared to begin playing catch last week, and he's now received the green light to start throwing off a mound as the next step in his recovery from elbow inflammation. He'll start off by throwing about 25 pitches and look to build up his workload during later mound sessions.

  • Mick Abel P | MIN

Twins' Mick Abel: Ready for rehab assignment

Abel (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Wednesday will mark Abel's first time pitching in a game since he landed on the injured list in late April due to right elbow inflammation. He's scheduled to throw roughly 50 pitches or three innings during his first minor-league start and will most likely require a couple rehab outings beyond that before the Twins activate him.

  • Casey Mize SP | DET

Tigers' Casey Mize: Strong showing during rehab start

Mize (adductor) tossed five innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five during his rehab start with Single-A Lakeland on Tuesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Mize was making what could be his first and last start during his minor-league rehab assignment, notching 36 strikes over 55 total pitches. The right-hander appears to be on track toward being activated from the 15-day injured list when first eligible Sunday in Cleveland.

  • Kyren Paris SS | LAA

Angels' Kyren Paris: Moving up to Triple-A

Paris was promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.

Paris will move up to the Triple-A level after posting a .200 average with a triple, three doubles, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 105 at-bats in 31 contests with Double-A Rocket City so far this year. The 24-year-old posted a disappointing .190/.266/.381 slash line with six home runs, 11 RBI, 24 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 44 contests with the Angels in 2025, but he's now just one step away from potentially rejoining the major-league roster down the road this year.

  • Brent Rooker DH | ATH

Athletics' Brent Rooker: Getting rest Tuesday

Rooker isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

Rooker has posted an .816 OPS through 27 plate appearances since the start of June, but the A's will give him a chance to regroup after he finished Monday's contest 0-for-5 with a walk and three strikeouts. Shea Langeliers will move into the DH spot with Rooker on the bench, allowing Jonah Heim to pick up a start behind the dish.

  • Astros' Taylor Trammell: Taking seat Tuesday

Trammell is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Angels.

Trammel went 0-for-2 with in the series opener Monday versus the Angels. As he sits Tuesday, Joey Loperfido will start in left field and bat seventh.

  • Joey Estes SP | ATH

Athletics' Joey Estes: Gets call from Triple-A

The Athletics recalled Estes from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Estes has accumulated a 5.95 ERA and 1.49 WHIP in 59 innings (12 starts) at Triple-A this season, but he'll be welcomed back into the majors as the replacement on the active roster for Kade Morris, who was optioned to Las Vegas. Though the demotion of Morris creates a void in the big-league rotation, it's unclear if Estes will be the top choice to fill the open spot. Along with Estes, Mason Barnett is a candidate to join the rotation after striking out seven over four shutout innings of long relief in his most recent appearance Friday in Houston. With an off day on tap Thursday, the Athletics could get by without a fifth starter until next week, so Estes will likely be available out of the bullpen for at least the next couple of games.

  • Kade Morris SP | ATH

Athletics' Kade Morris: Sent back to Vegas

The Athletics optioned Morris to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Morris gave up nine earned runs in just four innings during his MLB debut Saturday, and he'll now be sent back down to the minors in favor of Joey Estes. Morris owns a 4.45 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 60.2 innings at Las Vegas and could rejoin the A's at some point later this summer if he gets back on track with the Aviators.

  • Mariners' Cooper Criswell: Placed on injured list

The Mariners placed Criswell on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right shoulder strain.

Criswell has given up three earned runs in 1.1 combined innings over his last two appearances, and he appears to have come away from his latest outing Monday with shoulder trouble. He'll take at least two weeks off to recover, and Nick Davila will come up from Triple-A Tacoma to replenish Seattle's bullpen depth.

  • Nick Davila RP | SEA

Mariners' Nick Davila: Up from Tacoma

The Mariners recalled Davila from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

Davila will return to the big leagues as the roster replacement for Cooper Criswell (shoulder), who landed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday. Davila has fired 7.1 shutout innings with the Mariners this season, though he's done so while posting a 4:6 K:BB. He'll likely be limited to middle-relief duty while with Seattle.
