Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Not in Sunday's lineup
Massey is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Massey started the previous nine games but will hit the bench Sunday after batting .200 (7-for-35) with no extra-base hits during that span. Nick Loftin will start in left field while Jonathan India mans the keystone for the series finale in Minnesota.

Mark Canha LF | TEX
Royals' Mark Canha: Playing time trending up
Canha will start in right field and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Twins.
With Kyle Isbel (illness) on the bench for the second day in a row, the Royals will once again have room in the outfield for Canha, who started in right Saturday and went 2-for-4 with a walk. The veteran has been used primarily as a short-side platoon player this season, so his opportunities to play against right-handed pitching could be limited once Isbel moves past the illness.
-
Freddy Fermin C | SD
Royals' Freddy Fermin: Drawing fourth straight start
Fermin will start at catcher and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Twins.
Fermin will be behind the plate for the fourth game in a row after going 3-for-12 with a double, a walk and two runs. If the Royals continue to use Salvador Perez at first base and designated hitter more frequently, Fermin could end up having a fairly stable spot in the lineup as the team's preferred catcher.

Mike Tauchman CF | NYM
White Sox's Mike Tauchman: Idle against southpaw
Tauchman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Tauchman was activated from the injured list Friday and started in right field as the No. 2 spot for the first two games of the series, going 2-for-8 with a home run, two walks, three runs and two RBI. He'll likely be a fixture in the lineup against righties, but the White Sox could regularly hold Tauchman out versus lefties like Patrick Corbin, who is on the bump Sunday. Michael Taylor will replace Tauchman in right field.
-
Josh Rojas 3B | KC
White Sox's Josh Rojas: Hitting bench against lefty
Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Rojas had started each of the last six games while the White Sox opposed right-handed pitchers, but he'll hit the bench Sunday with southpaw Patrick Corbin on the bump for the Rangers. Rojas' move to the bench will open up a spot in the lineup for Vinny Capra, who will start at shortstop.
-
Jonah Heim C | ATH
Rangers' Jonah Heim: Resting up Sunday
Heim is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Heim will get a respite Sunday after he started at either catcher or designated hitter each of the previous six games. Kyle Higashioka will step in behind the dish, while outfielder Sam Haggerty gets a day off from defensive duties as the Rangers' DH.
-
Kyle Isbel CF | KC
Royals' Kyle Isbel: On bench again Sunday
Isbel (illness) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Isbel was scratched from the lineup Saturday due to an illness and will sit again for Sunday's series finale in Minnesota. Drew Waters will shift to center field while Mark Canha and Nick Loftin start in right and left, respectively.

Jose Caballero SS | NYY
Rays' Jose Caballero: Back on bench Sunday
Caballero is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.
Caballero had started the Rays' last five games, but he'll be squeezed out of the lineup Sunday as Taylor Walls (groin) returns from a three-game absence. Even if the Rays continue to stick with the defensive-minded Walls as their preferred option at shortstop, Caballero still has multiple pathways to playing time and should remain a mainstay in the lineup against left-handed pitching and a semi-regular against righties. Despite not having a full-time role at any one position this season, Caballero has 15 stolen bases to go along with a .241 batting average, one home run, 14 RBI and 13 runs in 42 games.

Danny Jansen C | TEX
Rays' Danny Jansen: Sitting for day game
Jansen is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.
Jansen will get a breather for the afternoon game after he caught all nine innings of Saturday's 3-1 win. Ben Rortvedt will receive a turn behind the plate in the series finale.
-
Alejandro Kirk C | TOR
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Resting in series finale
Kirk is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
Kirk will get a breather for the matinee contest after he had started behind the dish the last two days. After being called up from Triple-A Buffalo to replace the injured Tyler Heineman (concussion) on the roster, Ali Sanchez will get the nod at catcher Sunday.
