Lukes (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Monday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Lukes has been sidelined since April 24 with a left hamstring strain, but he's been running the bases and will do so again this weekend before heading out on his rehab stint. Yohendrick Pinango has been seeing extensive playing time in the Toronto outfield with both Lukes and Addison Barger (elbow) missing action.

Manager John Schneider said Friday that "surgery is on the table" for Berrios (elbow), Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Berrios was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his pitching elbow ahead of the start of the regular season and suffered a setback 10 days ago following his fourth rehab start. It sounds like the veteran could need some sort of procedure, which would obviously knock him out even longer after Berrios had been ramping up to join the Blue Jays' pitching staff this month.

Altuve is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

With Altuve getting a breather against right-hander Jack Leiter, Brice Matthews will lead off and play second base for Houston. Altuve hasn't homered since April 17 and doesn't have an extra-base hit over his last six games. On the season, the 36-year-old is slashing .245/.328/.365 with three home runs, 11 RBI, 26 runs scored, one stolen base and a 19:34 BB:K across 181 trips to the dish.

Larnach is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.

Even with Matt Wallner dispatched to the minors and Byron Buxton (hip) out for the second straight contest, Larnach isn't getting the nod against Milwaukee right-hander Coleman Crow. James Outman, Ryan Kreidler and Austin Martin are starting in the outfield for Minnesota. Larnach hasn't homered since April 11 and has just three singles and zero RBI over his last five games.

Buxton (hip) is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.

Buxton will miss his second straight start after he was scratched from Thursday's lineup against Miami. With Buxton missing again, Ryan Kreidler is batting eighth and making the start in center field. The No. 1 hitter in fantasy over the last 15 days, Buxton is slashing .320/.382/.860 with eight home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored, three stolen bases and a 5:11 BB:K during that span.

Yoshida is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta.

Even with right-hander Spencer Strider on the mound, interim manager Chad Tracy is going with Mickey Gasper in the second spot in the lineup at designated hitter. Yoshida is 7-for-24 at the plate this month but has just one extra-base hit and zero RBI since April 19.

The Angels announced Friday that Rodriguez (shoulder) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Rodriguez will be making his first big-league appearance since July 31, 2024, with multiple arm injuries keeping him on the shelf for nearly two years. He missed the first month and a half of the 2026 campaign while recovering from right shoulder inflammation, which he suffered at the end of spring training. Rodriguez made two rehab starts, allowing three runs on 12 hits and two walks with 18 strikeouts across 9.2 innings. The righty built up to 94 pitches in his most recent outing with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga last weekend, so he shouldn't be too limited from a workload standpoint in his Angels debut.

Manager A.J. Hinch said Friday that Torres (oblique) is "trending toward" beginning a rehab assignment, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Torres is eligible to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list as of Friday, but it sounds like he's going to go out on a short rehab stint prior to rejoining the Detroit lineup. Torres has slashed .259/.389/.328 with two home runs, 11 RBI, 18 runs scored and a 25:22 BB:K across 144 plate appearances this season. Hao-Yu Lee is manning second base for the Tigers on Friday.

Vest (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Friday, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Vest was placed on the 15-day injured list with forearm inflammation earlier this month and started throwing off a mound again earlier this week. Assuming everything goes well with his rehab assignment, Vest should rejoin the Detroit bullpen next week. He has a 6.17 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB across 11.2 innings this season.

Seymour will start as the opener Friday against the Marlins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

It will be Seymour's first official start of the season, but Jesse Scholtens is still expected to serve as the bulk reliever behind Seymour, according to Topkin. Seymour came up as a starting pitcher but has topped out at just 32 pitches in a single game as a full-time reliever through the first month and a half of the 2026 season.
