The Astros optioned Teng to Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday.

Teng has had a rough go of late, giving up six runs with a 2:3 K:BB over his past 3.1 innings spanning three appearances. He'll lose his spot in the big-league bullpen to Miguel Ullola, who was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Trout (hand) will start at designated hitter and bat second in Sunday's game against the Pirates, Erica Weston of Angels Broadcast Television reports.

Trout was lifted for a pinch runner after being hit by a pitch in the left hand during the top of the ninth inning of Saturday's 6-1 win, but his removal appears to have been mostly precautionary. X-rays on his hand following the game returned negative, and any soreness or swelling Trout might have experienced seems to have subsided enough for him to swing the bat without issue in Sunday's series finale. He'll get a day as the Angels' DH but will likely return to his usual spot in center field Monday in Boston.

The Tigers transferred Vierling (adductor/heel) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Vierling initially landed on the IL on July 31 due to a left adductor strain. He then suffered a heel injury in late August, and the pair of issues will result in Vierling being ruled out for the remainder of the regular season. He could theoretically return for the playoffs, but that might be a moot point with Detroit currently 6.5 games back of a wild-card spot.

Detroit optioned Sears to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.

After making his first two big-league appearances out of the bullpen, Sears was called upon to start the second game of Friday's doubleheader with the Guardians. He ended up taking a no-decision put pitched effectively in a 4-3 loss, striking out four batters while yielding one earned run on four hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. Since he likely wouldn't have been available out of the bullpen for another two or three days, the Tigers sent Sears back to Triple-A to clear a spot on the active roster for lefty Brant Hurter (back), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list.

Detroit reinstated Hurter (back) from the 60-day injured list Sunday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Hurter last pitched for the Tigers on May 22 and has been rehabbing from a back injury. He spent about a month in the minors working his way back into form. To make room for Hurter on the 40-man roster, Matt Vierling (adductor/heel) was placed on the 60-day IL. Andrew Sears was optioned to Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.

Jensen isn't in the starting lineup for Sunday's tilt against Toronto.

Jensen will get a well-deserved rest after starting behind the plate in six straight contests. He's off to a scorching start to September, slashing .421/.476/1.158 with three home runs and six RBI through five games. Luke Maile will get a turn at catcher in Jensen's stead Sunday.

The Orioles designated Suarez for assignment Sunday.

Suarez has struggled of late, giving up four runs over six innings across his past three appearances. His overall 4.12 ERA and 1.25 WHIP across 59 big-league innings this season aren't horrible, but Baltimore has opted to jettison Suarez from the roster. Rece Hinds was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move.

Baltimore recalled Hinds from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

Hinds had already seen action in the majors with two different clubs this season, slashing .114/.158/.200 with no homers and five RBI across 13 games between Cincinnati and Miami. He'll look to make a better impression with the Orioles, who traded for Hinds in early August. Hinds doesn't figure to start regularly, but he'll give Baltimore outfield depth with both Tyler O'Neill (shoulder) and Christian Franklin (hand) currently on the injured list.

Caglianone (elbow) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Per MLB.com, Caglianone is set to receive imaging on his sore left elbow after the injury forced him out of Saturday's 4-3 loss after just two innings. John Rave will replace Caglianone in right field and bat leadoff in the series finale versus Toronto.

Torkelson is not starting Sunday versus Cleveland.

Torkelson will get at least part of the day off his feet while Colt Keith gets a chance to start at first base and Riley Greene takes a turn at DH. Torkelson went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts Saturday to snap a modest four-game hitting streak.
