  • Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Steals again

De La Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Marlins.

De La Cruz walked, stole a base and scored a run in the first inning. After failing to record a steal in the first eight games, De La Cruz has stolen a base in three of the last four contests while going 4-for-15 with a double during that span.

  • Sam Moll RP | CIN

    Reds' Sam Moll: Firing blanks

Moll did not allow a hit and struck out two over 2.1 scoreless innings during Wednesday's 7-4 loss to Miami. He also hit two batters.

Moll was needed for length as starter Brady Singer left after 2.2 innings, having given up six runs and 10 hits. Moll has not yet allowed a run or hit over six appearances (6.2 innings) this season.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Braves' Matt Olson: Adds two-run homer to strong start

Olson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Angels.

Olson is putting together an excellent start to the season, hitting safely in 11 of his first 13 games. Each of his three homers have come in the month of April, during which the All-Star first baseman is hitting .290 with four doubles, seven RBI and six walks across 31 at-bats. Olson is tied for second in the National League with six doubles thus far.

  • Sal Stewart 1B | CIN

Reds' Sal Stewart: Contributes with bat, legs

Stewart went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBI, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Marlins.

Stewart stole second base and scored in the first inning before mashing a two-run home run in the fifth, the rookie's third of the season. He's been a nice mix of power and speed out of the cleanup spot for the Reds; the steal was Stewart's third and his .683 slugging percentage (seven XBH) leads Cincinnati.

  • Grant Holmes RP | ATL

Braves' Grant Holmes: Six Ks in 6.2 strong innings

Holmes (1-1) notched the win Wednesday against the Angels, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks in 6.2 innings. He struck out six.

Holmes was tagged for a pair of extra-base hits, with one leaving the yard, but he otherwise produced a very strong outing. The right-hander generated 13 whiffs, and he notably escaped a bases-loaded jam to finish a two-run second inning and limit the damage. Holmes owns a 2.55 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB over 17.2 innings, and he should maintain streaming appeal with a favorable matchup versus the Marlins set for his next start.

  • Alec Burleson LF | STL

Cardinals' Alec Burleson: Tallies season-high three RBI

Burleson went 3-for-4 with a three RBI, a walk and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.

It was the second three-hit effort of the season already for Burleson, who recorded a season-high three RBI. With Willson Contreras, Brendan Donovan and Nolan Arenado all with new clubs for 2026, Burleson has hit third in the lineup in each of St. Louis' first 12 games. Overall, he is batting .273 with one homer, two doubles, 10 RBI and one stolen base over 44 at-bats.

  • Corbin Carroll LF | ARI

Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Active early in win

Carroll went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Mets.

Carroll doubled and scored in the first inning and then drove in two with a second-inning double. It didn't take long for Carroll to re-establish himself after missing most of spring training following hamate bone surgery in his right hand. His three-hit effort Wednesday was his second in three games, and Carroll is slashing .333/.408/.690 with three doubles, three triples, two home runs and 11 RBI through 12 games.

  • Jorge Barrosa CF | ARI

Diamondbacks' Jorge Barrosa: Finishes off Mets

Barrosa went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Mets.

He got his second start in center field in place of Alek Thomas against a lefty. Barrosa finished off the day with a two-run double in the eighth inning for his first two RBI of the season. Jordan Lawlar's wrist injury has opened a path to playing time for Barrosa, who made his fourth consecutive start Wednesday.

  • Carson Kelly C | CHC

Cubs' Carson Kelly: Doubles, scores in win

Kelly went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Rays.

Kelly extended his hitting streak to four games with the multi-hit effort, and he's now batting .281 for the season with a .705 OPS. The veteran catcher has appeared in 10 games so far, with Miguel Amaya appearing in seven. Kelly has the slight edge for playing time at the moment, though the Cubs can get both bats in the lineup by having one or the other serve as the DH and relying on Moises Ballesteros to serve as the backup behind the plate.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Hits leadoff home run Wednesday

Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a double, a solo home run, an additional run scored and two total RBI in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Rays.

Hoerner has been hot to start the season, and for the second straight day, the Cubs rewarded the speedy infielder by batting him leadoff. It was also the second straight game that he batted first despite facing a righty starter, bumping Michael Busch down in the order. Hoerner responded Wednesday with a leadoff home run, which was his first long ball of the year. As long as Hoerner stays locked in at the plate, he figures to stick as Chicago's leadoff hitter against both righties and lefties for the foreseeable future.
