Diaz (neck) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Diaz last pitched for the Dodgers on Aug. 17, when he gave up three runs on four hits over one inning at Colorado. He landed on the injured list the next day with a diagnosis of neck inflammation. Diaz may not need an extended rehab stint, but even if he's fully recovered, he's expected to log lower-leverage work upon his return to the big-league club.

Wrobleski is expected to serve as the Dodgers' primary pitcher behind an opener Sunday versus Washington, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

Wrobleski was moved to a bullpen role upon his activation from the injured list Sept. 1, and he tossed two innings in relief against St. Louis that day. The left-hander hasn't appeared in a game since then, so his arm should be able to handle a hefty workload in the series finale versus the Nationals. The Dodgers haven't yet announced who will be opening Sunday's contest.

Rushing's scratch from the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's tilt against Washington was due to right elbow discomfort.

Rushing was removed from the lineup a couple hours before the scheduled start of the contest after originally being penciled in as Los Angeles' designated hitter. Per Katie Woo of The Athletic, Rushing threw on the field before the game as part of an effort to ramp up his throwing program as he works his way back from a minor UCL tear, so that's presumably when the elbow discomfort cropped up. It's unclear at the moment if he'll be held out beyond Saturday. Rushing has been limited to DH and pinch-hit duties since being reinstated from the injured list Sept. 1.

Muncy was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Nationals due to an illness.

Muncy was originally slated to start at third base but was removed from the starting nine a few hours before game time, with Enrique Hernandez penciled in at the hot corner in his place. Given that the reason for Muncy's scratch was deemed to be an illness, he should be considered day-to-day.

The Dodgers designated Thomas for assignment Saturday.

Thomas spent some time with the big-league club in late August but was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sept. 1. He'd been hitting well since his return to OKC, going 4-for-15 with three homers, four RBI and a stolen base over three games, but Los Angeles DFA'd him to make room on the 40-man roster for Bobby Miller (shoulder), who was activated from the 60-day injured list.

The Dodgers optioned Hurt to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Hurt has posted a 2.92 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB over 11 appearances spanning 12.1 innings since the All-Star break, but Los Angeles has opted to send him down to clear a spot on the active roster for Bobby Miller (shoulder), who was activated from the 60-day IL. Given Hurt's recent contributions, there's a good chance he'll be back up with the Dodgers before the end of the regular season.

Rushing (undisclosed) was removed from the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's contest against the Nationals.

Los Angeles hasn't yet provided a reason for Rushing's removal, but that information should come shortly. Rushing had originally been slated to bat seventh as the DH. Instead, Teoscar Hernandez will move from left field to DH, and Alex Call will take Hernandez's spot in LF.

Muncy was a late scratch from the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's game versus Washington for unspecified reasons.

Muncy was originally in Saturday's lineup, as was Dalton Rushing, but both players were scratched about two hours ahead of the start of the game. The Dodgers will presumably provide a reason for the change in short order. Enrique Hernandez is covering third base and batting ninth in Muncy's stead Saturday.

The Dodgers activated Miller (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Miller was placed on the IL near the end of spring training and began a minor-league rehab assignment in early August. Over seven games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, he posted a 3.86 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB over 14 innings. Six of those appearances came out of the bullpen, and that's expected to be Miller's role upon his return to the major-league club. To make room for Miller on the 40-man roster, Alek Thomas was designated for assignment, and to clear room on the active roster, Kyle Hurt was optioned to the minors.

Fermin isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Fermin went 0-for-2 with a run scored Friday to snap what had been a modest four-game hitting streak, and he'll now get a chance to rest his legs while Bryan Torres starts at second base and bats leadoff.
