  • Jhoan Duran RP | PHI

Phillies' Jhoan Duran: Blows first save of 2026

Duran (1-3) blew the save and took the loss in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Toronto, allowing two runs on three hits while failing to record an out.

Duran was brought out to close things out after the Phillies took a 2-1 lead in the top of the ninth. The right-hander had converted each of his first 16 save chances of the season, but he did not have that same success in Toronto. The game was tied at 2-2 on a wild pitch that brought Myles Straw home before Duran yielded a walk-off single to Brandon Valenzuela. This marks the first time this season that Duran has given up multiple earned runs, and he now sits at a 2.08 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 33:5 K:BB across 21.2 innings.

  • Braves' Ronald Acuna: Exits early with injury

Acuna exited Tuesday's contest against the White Sox in the fourth inning due to left hamstring tightness.

Acuna was busting it down the line in an attempt to secure an infield single in the top of the fourth inning, but he pulled up lame as he approached first base. The outfielder appeared to have tweaked his left leg in the process, and he was subsequently removed from the game. More information on Acuna's status will likely be provided in the near future, but in the meantime, Eli White has taken over in right field versus Chicago.

  • Trevor Megill RP | MIL

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Managing side tightness

Megill wasn't available to pitch in Monday's game against the Athletics due to oblique tightness, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Megill is slated to play catch before Tuesday's contest, and if all goes well, he's expected to be available to pitch. The 32-year-old gave up two earned runs during his last outing Friday against the Rockies to increase his ERA to 4.70 through 23 frames, though he still boasts a career-best 1.62 FIP.

  • Cubs' Jameson Taillon: Expected to miss more than month

Taillon (hamstring) is expected to be sidelined until after the All-Star break, Vinnie Duber of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Taillon landed on the 15-day injured list with a left hamstring strain Tuesday, and manager Craig Counsell outlined that the right-hander is not expected to be able to return to action until mid-to-late July. Javier Assad will likely replace Taillon in the Cubs' starting rotation in the meantime, while Shota Imanaga is now the last remaining arm from the team's Opening Day rotation that hasn't spent time on the IL this season.

  • Padres' Miguel Andujar: Remaining out Tuesday

Andujar (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.

Andujar will miss a second consecutive start Tuesday after leaving Sunday's game early due to a hamstring injury. His absence will allow Will Wagner to bat fifth while working as San Diego's designated hitter.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

    Padres' Ty France: Sitting Tuesday

France isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.

France will grab a seat on the bench Tuesday after making six consecutive starts, during which he went 4-for-21 (.190) with three walks and two runs scored. Gavin Sheets will start at first base while France rests, allowing Samad Taylor to start in left field.

  • Brewers' Brian Fitzpatrick: Shifted to 60-day IL

Fitzpatrick (elbow) was shifted to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Fitzpatrick was placed on the 15-day IL with a left UCL strain Saturday, and the southpaw may need to undergo Tommy John surgery. Regardless of whether surgery is necessary, the 26-year-old will now be sidelined until at least early August. The transaction clears room for outfielder Luis Lara on the 40-man roster after Milwaukee inked the 21-year-old to a fresh seven-year, $31 million contract extension Tuesday.

  • Carson Kelly C | CHC

    Cubs' Carson Kelly: Idle Tuesday

Kelly is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Rockies.

Kelly went 3-for-12 with an RBI while playing in three games versus the Giants from Friday to Sunday. He will get some rest with Miguel Amaya starting at catcher and batting eighth Tuesday.

  • Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM

Mets' Jorge Polanco: MRI comes back clean

An MRI on Polanco's left ankle/Achilles tendon came back negative Tuesday, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

Polanco has battled problems with his Achilles all season, and the Mets paused his rehab assignment Saturday due to renewed soreness in his left ankle. Now that the 32-year-old has been cleared of any structural damage, the Mets will look to have him resume batting practice within the next few days.

  • Tyler Ferguson RP | CHC

Cubs' Tyler Ferguson: Recalled from Iowa

The Cubs recalled Ferguson from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Vinnie Duber of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Ferguson will be summoned back to the big leagues to fill in for Trent Thornton while the latter is out on paternity leave. Ferguson gave up four earned runs in 1.1 innings during his lone MLB outing of the season with the A's, though he owns a 2.79 ERA and 1.20 WHIP at Triple-A since joining the Cubs organization.
