The Mets selected Poche's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Poche began the season with the Nationals but was designated for assignment in early May before quickly inking a minor-league deal with the Mets. He appeared in 12 games with Syracuse and registered a 4.26 ERA and 13:10 K:BB across 12.2 innings.

Bogaerts (shoulder) is batting sixth and playing shortstop Friday against Cincinnati.

The Padres scratched Bogaerts from Wednesday's lineup due to soreness in his left shoulder, but he's back in the lineup after a team day off Thursday. Bogaerts is 22-for-85 (.259) with 10 runs scored, eight RBI and a couple steals in June.

The Mets recalled Tidwell from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Tidwell takes the roster spot of Griffin Canning, who's been diagnosed with a ruptured left Achilles tendon and placed on the 60-day injured list. Tidwell appears to be the likeliest option to replace Canning in the rotation until the Mets get one or more of their other injured starters back. Tidwell has made two starts this season, posting a 9.82 ERA and 6:6 K:BB across 7.1 innings of work.

The Mets placed Canning on the 60-day injured list with a ruptured left Achilles tendon Friday.

Canning struck out three and gave up just one hit in 2.2 innings Thursday against Atlanta before he had to be removed from the game and helped off the field. To those that saw the injury, this was the expected outcome. Canning will miss the remainder of the 2025 season and possibly even the start of the 2026 campaign, as he has a lengthy rehab ahead of him. Canning was enjoying a career season with the Mets, but it's now over with a 7-3 record, 3.77 ERA and 70:35 K:BB across 76.1 innings and 16 starts. Blade Tidwell has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move.

The Reds placed Fraley on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a shoulder injury, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Fraley was unavailable the past few days due to the injury and will now be sidelined for at least another week. The outfielder's roster spot will be filled by Austin Hays (foot), who was reinstated from the injured list and is batting cleanup as the designated hitter Friday against the Padres.

The Rockies optioned Molina to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Molina will yield his spot on the active roster to Kyle Freeland (back), who's been activated from the injured list. Molina allowed seven runs with five strikeouts and no walks over 7.2 innings in four appearances during this MLB stint.

Freeland (back) has been reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will start Friday's game against the Brewers.

As expected, Freeland will return after the minimum 15 days on the injured list. The southpaw didn't go on a rehab assignment but isn't expected to be under any restrictions. Freeland owns a 5.13 ERA and a 57:15 K:BB over 14 starts for the Rockies in 2025. Anthony Molina was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move.

The Reds reinstated Hays (foot) from the 10-day injured list Friday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Hays played in the field Wednesday for the first time during his rehab assignment, and he's been given the green light to rejoin the active roster. He'd been on the shelf since May 29 due to a left foot contusion. Jake Fraley (shoulder) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Nootbaar (side) is batting fifth and playing left field Friday against Cleveland.

Nootbaar missed back-to-back games with an intercostal injury, but he's feeling well enough to start Friday. He's riding a six-game hit streak, going 7-for-22 (.318) with three home runs and a 4:6 BB:K during that stretch.

Kopech notched a hold against the Rockies on Thursday, striking out one batter in one perfect inning.

Kopech inherited a two-run lead in the eighth frame and retired all three batters he faced on a combined 13 pitches. After missing over two months while on the injured list to begin the campaign, he's pitched in eight games since his June 8 debut and has yet to allow a run over seven innings. Kopech has five holds in those eight contests and is averaging over a strikeout per inning, so he's a desirable asset in fantasy leagues that count holds.
