High-A Beloit placed Meyer on its 7-day injured list Tuesday due to an undisclosed injury.

Meyer had been lined up to start Tuesday, but he apparently was dealing with a physical issue that prompted Beloit to place him on the IL instead. Until the nature of his injury is known, the 20-year-old righty will be without a clear timeline for a return. Meyer owns a 5.09 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 49:21 K:BB in 40.2 innings with Beloit on the season.

Fuentes is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Mets at Citi Field.

When he was initially called up from Triple-A Gwinnett last week to make his MLB debut, Fuentes was expected to make a spot start before returning to the minors. However, with Chris Sale being diagnosed over the weekend with a fractured left ribcage that will keep him on the shelf through at least the All-Star break, Fuentes should be in store for multiple turns through the rotation. Though the 20-year-old righty is regarded as one of Atlanta's top prospects, he had a so-so debut outing last Friday against a weak Miami offense, giving up four earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three over five innings. He'll make for a risky streaming option while he takes the hill for his second start in a tougher matchup Wednesday on the road against the Mets.

Suarez (6-2) took the loss Tuesday against Houston, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over 7.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Suarez was locked in a pitchers' duel with Framber Valdez, with no runs being scored until Suarez yielded a solo homer to Cooper Hummel in the bottom of the eighth inning. Suarez has pitched at least seven innings in four consecutive starts, boasting a 1.26 ERA and 26:6 K:BB across 28.2 innings during that stretch. He's slated to make his next start Sunday against Atlanta.

Marquez (3-9) took the loss Tuesday against the Dodgers, allowing six unearned runs on six hits and no walks over four innings. He struck out six.

Marquez yielded three extra-base hits in the loss, but a pair of fourth-inning defensive errors saved the 30-year-old from being charged with any earned runs. Still, he allowed a three-run home run to Michael Conforto and had the Dodgers bat around the order as part of the six-run fourth inning. Marquez has allowed one earned run or zero in three straight starts, but he owns a 5.79 ERA and 1.64 WHIP across 77.2 innings this season. He's slated for a start in Milwaukee on Sunday.

Wrobleski (3-2) picked up the win Tuesday against the Rockies, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

Wrobleski followed opener Jack Dreyer, who completed the first inning, and Wrobleski delivered five solid frames. His seven strikeouts marked a season high, and he's added a tally in the win column in back-to-back appearances. In six outings this season, the 24-year-old has a 4.91 ERA and 1.23 WHIP across 29.1 innings. Wrobleski has operated as a bulk reliever in three straight appearances, and if he remains on schedule, he'd likely pitch Sunday against Kansas City.

Toglia went 3-for-5 with two RBI doubles and an additional double during Tuesday's 9-7 loss to the Dodgers.

Toglia clubbed a double in each of his first three at-bats, marking his fifth three-hit game of the campaign and his first career game with three doubles. In 242 plate appearances this season, Toglia is slashing .210/.277/.397 with nine home runs and three stolen bases.

Scott picked up the save Tuesday against Colorado, allowing two hits over 1.1 scoreless innings. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.

Scott was forced into the game before the ninth inning after the Dodgers' advantage was trimmed to three with runners on first and second with two outs in the eighth. Scott allowed a two-RBI double to the first batter he faced, but he managed to hang on to grab his 16th save. He's converted each of his last six save chances and has allowed one earned run in his last 10 appearances (10.1 innings).

Conforto went 2-for-5 with a double and a three-run home run during Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Rockies.

Conforto notched his fifth home run of the season, tagging German Marquez for a three-run shot in the fourth inning. The outfielder notched his first multi-hit game since May 27. In 258 plate appearances this season, Conforto is slashing .171/.298/.290 with 28 runs scored and 16 RBI.

Ohtani went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Rockies.

Ohtani delivered a two-run home run off Ryan Rolison in the sixth inning to give the Dodgers an 8-3 lead. Since the start of June, Ohtani is 23-for-86 (.267) with five homers, three doubles and two triples over 22 games. He's one of three players in baseball with an OPS above 1.000.

Pirates interim manager Don Kelly said that Cruz was removed from Tuesday's game versus the Brewers in the seventh inning due to a lack of "energy and effort," the Associated Press reports.

Cruz slowed up running to first base when he grounded into a double play in the top of the seventh inning and was replaced on defense before the bottom of the frame. The center fielder admitted after the contest that he thought there were two outs. Kelly was noncommittal when asked whether Cruz would be back in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale in Milwaukee. Cruz was hitless in four plate appearances before being lifted.
