Nardi gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless two-thirds of an inning to record his first hold of the season in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Entering the game to begin the eighth inning and tasked with protecting a 2-1 lead, Nardi gave up a single to Kyle Karros but fanned Braxton Fulford and Ryan Ritter before ceding the mound to Anthony Bender. It was Nardi's first big-league game action since August 2024, as back trouble cost him all of 2025, but it looks like the 27-year-old will be the top left-handed setup option in the Marlins' bullpen to kick off the current campaign.

The Marlins recalled De Los Santos from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

With Christopher Morel (oblique) headed for the IL, De Los Santos will come up from the minors for his MLB debut and could take over as Miami's primary first baseman, though the Marlins may also continue to start Connor Norby at first. The 22-year-old De Los Santos slashed .240/.309/.356 with 11 homers, 52 RBI and 53 runs scored with Jacksonville last year but started 2026 on the right track, going 2-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in the Triple-A opener.

Sanoja went 3-for-3 with an RBI in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Getting the start at third base and batting ninth, Sanoja consistently flipped the lineup over in a 2-1 victory. The 23-year-old utility player was in the lineup against a left-hander in Kyle Freeland, and he could work as a platoon partner for Graham Pauley at the hot corner in the short term while Connor Norby covers for Christopher Morel (oblique) at first base. Pauley missed most of training camp due to a forearm strain, but he was able to enter Friday's game as a late-inning defensive replacement, bumping Sanoja out to left field.

Caissie went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Starting at DH and batting eighth against southpaw Kyle Freeland, Caissie got the Marlins on the board in his debut for the team with an RBI double in the second inning. Caissie also struck out twice, however, and his ability to make consistent contact against big-league pitching is still the biggest question mark in his profile. The 23-year-old old, acquired from the Cubs in the offseason, has nothing left to prove in the minors after slashing .281/.379/.505 with 41 homers in 226 games at Triple-A Iowa over the last two seasons.

Chaparro isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Chaparro went 2-for-3 with a run scored en route to a win in Thursday's season opener, but he'll cede his place in the lineup Saturday to Jose Tena, who will bat eighth while serving as the DH.

Ruiz isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Ruiz will grab a seat on the bench after going 1-for-4 with a run scored in Thursday's win. Drew Millas will fill in as Washington's backstop and bat second.

Norby went 2-for-3 with a double in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Getting a surprise start at first base and batting fifth, Norby got his 2026 off to a solid start. With Christopher Morel (oblique) potentially headed to the IL, Norby could be set for regular playing time at first base in the short term. The 25-year-old is looking to establish himself after managing a .251/.300/.389 slash line with eight homers and eight steals in 88 games during an injury-plagued 2025.

Abrams is currently away from the Nationals due to a death in his family, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

The Nationals haven't officially placed the 25-year-old on the bereavement list, but a move could come in the near future. Nasim Nunez will start at shortstop while Abrams is away, opening up second base for Jorbit Vivas.

Dubon went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Friday's win over the Royals.

Batting seventh in his Atlanta debut, Dubon supplied the last offense in a 6-0 win with a two-run double in the seventh inning off Bailey Falter. The 31-year-old should be an everyday player at shortstop until Ha-Seong Kim (finger) gets healthy, but Dubon's defensive versatility should make him a fairly regular part of manager Walt Weiss' lineups even after he shifts to the bench. How much offense his supplies in that role is a different question, however. Over the last three season in a super-utility role for the Astros, Dubon slashed .264/.299/.378 while averaging seven homers and 4.3 steals a year.

The Brewers recalled Quero from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Considered to be the best catcher prospect in the Brewers' farm system, Quero will join the big-league roster for the first time in his career. The 23-year-old battled hamstring and shoulder issues last season but still slashed .255/.336/.412 with 44 RBI and 32 runs scored across 250 plate appearances at Nashville. He'll act in a reserve role behind William Contreras and Gary Sanchez at catcher and replace Andrew Vaughn (hand) on the active roster.
