Walker walked one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Dodgers. He didn't record a strikeout.

Walker picked up his second save in as many days, a good rebound after he blew a save chance against the Nationals on Saturday. This was his third save of the season, though he's also added a pair of holds, which indicates Walker isn't operating as a traditional closer. Over 11 innings this season, he has a 3.27 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB.

Mahle (1-3) allowed three hits and two walks while striking out five over seven shutout innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Mahle delivered his second scoreless outing of the year, and he was dominant while going pitch-for-pitch against Shohei Ohtani. Patrick Bailey delivered the necessary support with a three-run blast in the seventh inning that allowed Mahle to ultimately earn his first win of the season. Even with this performance, Mahle has an uninspiring 5.26 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 26:14 K:BB across 25.2 innings over five starts this year. He'll need to cut down on the walks to have more repeatable success -- his current 4.9 BB/9 is his highest since the abbreviated 2020 campaign. The right-hander is projected to make his next start on the road in Philadelphia.

Moniak went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored Wednesday against the Padres.

Moniak played a key role in a four-run second inning for the Rockies, delivering an RBI double before coming around to score. The knock extended his hitting streak to seven games, during which he's gone 9-for-26 with five doubles, one home run, four RBI and five runs scored. Five of those contests have come at Coors Field, but Moniak has also maintained a .806 OPS across 23 plate appearances on the road early in the new campaign.

Ohtani scattered five hits and struck out seven without walking a batter over six scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Wednesday. He also went 0-for-4 with a strikeout as a batter.

Ohtani continues to dominate on the mound this season -- he's allowed just two runs (one earned) over 24 innings so far, good for a 0.38 ERA. He's added a 25:6 K:BB and 0.75 WHIP. He wasn't able to get any run support in this contest, nor did he help his own cause as his 53-game on-base streak came to a close. Ohtani hasn't quite been himself at the plate yet this year with a .258/.382/.472 slash line, five home runs, 11 RBI, 15 runs scored and one stolen base over 24 contests as a hitter this season. His next pitching start is projected to be at home versus the Marlins.

Merrill went 1-for-3 with a walk, one RBI and one stolen base in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Rockies.

Merrill opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning. Prior to Wednesday, he had gone 0-for-16 with 10 strikeouts over his previous four games. The outfielder has run streaky early in 2026, leading to a lackluster .217/.280/.380 slash line over 101 plate appearances. He's added three home runs, 14 RBI, 15 runs scored, six doubles and five stolen bases across 24 contests.

Campusano went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two doubles and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Rockies.

Campusano's blast came in the seventh inning, but the Padres weren't able to build off of it. This was his second multi-hit effort of the season, and it was his first performance with an extra-base hit in his last six games. The catcher is batting .333 with a 1.052 OPS, two homers, seven RBI, seven runs scored, six doubles and no stolen bases over 39 plate appearances this year, but he continues to function in the backup catcher role behind Freddy Fermin.

Buehler (1-2) allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out two over 2.2 innings to take the loss versus the Rockies on Wednesday.

Buehler's pitch count got up early -- he ended at 82 pitches (47 strikes). That's the third time in five starts that he's failed to complete five innings, and he's fallen short of three frames in two of those contests. The right-hander is sporting an ugly 5.75 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB across 20.1 innings so far. Buehler is likely to remain at the back end of the Padres' rotation for now, though he could be pressured once Lucas Giolito, who signed a one-year contract with San Diego on Wednesday, is deemed MLB ready. Buehler is tentatively lined up to make his next start at home versus the Cubs.

Goodman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two doubles, a walk and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Padres.

Goodman has four homers and five doubles over his last eight games, batting .303 (10-for-33) in that span. He's been one of the best hitting options behind the dish so far this season, batting .264 with an .880 OPS, six homers, nine RBI, 17 runs scored, six doubles and a stolen base over 24 contests. Goodman was good for 31 homers and 91 RBI over 144 contests in 2025, and while the run production is lagging a bit this year, the power is still there despite a 37.1 percent strikeout rate.

Sugano (2-1) allowed a run on five hits and a walk while striking out four over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Padres on Wednesday.

Sugano threw 64 of 101 pitches for strikes in this outing. He came up an out short of a quality start, but this is the third time in five appearances this season he's limited an opponent to one run. He also avoided giving up a home run for the first time. Sugano has a 3.42 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB over 26.1 innings, so he's been more effective than dominant to begin his first year with the Rockies. The right-hander is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Reds.

Lile went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to Atlanta.

Lile didn't club his first homer of the season until April 17, but he's discovered his power stroke of late. The 23-year-old outfielder has rapped three homers in his past five games, piling up five extra-base hits in total during that stretch. Lile has hit safely in eight of his last 10 outings as well, picking up multiple knocks on five occasions to boost his season slash line to .282/.333/.437.
