Yoshinobu Yamamoto SP | LAD
Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto: Earns seventh win
Yamamoto (7-2) picked up the win over Colorado on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits over five innings while striking out six.
Yamamoto got knocked around a bit early on, giving up singles to three of the first five men he faced before also surrendering a solo homer to Ezequiel Tovar in the bottom of the third. The right-hander did, however, manage to retire seven consecutive batters from that point on before being relieved by Justin Wrobleski to open the sixth. It marked Yamamoto's longest outing since June 7, while he didn't issue a free pass for the first time in his last three starts. He now carries a 3.38 ERA in September to go along with a robust 21:5 K:BB.

Wyatt Langford LF | TEX
Rangers' Wyatt Langford: September power surge
Langford went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Angels.
Langford hammered a Hunter Strickland fastball 415 feet in the sixth inning for his 16th homer of the season. It was his fourth in the last six games and eighth during September, during which the rookie is slugging .632 -- good for fourth in MLB during that time.

Nate Lowe 1B | TEX
Rangers' Nathaniel Lowe: Fuels comeback win
Lowe went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, a home run, three RBI and two additional runs scored in Saturday's 9-8 win over the Angels.
His solo homer in the second inning put the Rangers on top early, and Lowe helped fuel a comeback later in the game after Texas fell behind 8-3, delivering runs in the eighth and ninth innings. Lowe is finishing the season on a high note, going 24-for-76 (.316) with 13 walks, four home runs, 17 RBI and nine runs over the last 22 games.

Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Logs one hit in loss
Marte went 1-for-3 and was caught stealing in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Cubs.
Marte logged one of three hits for the Reds, whose bats have gone very quiet over the final week of the season with a league-low .137 batting average. Cincinnati's lost five straight, including three shutouts, and been outscored 17-3. Marte is doing his best to put a disappointing season behind him, which began with an 80-game suspension due to a PED violation. He's gone 13-for-48 (.271) with four walks, four RBI and three steals over the last 14 games.

Ty Madden RP | DET
Tigers' Ty Madden: Ineffective in relief Saturday
Madden allowed three runs on four hits and a walk across three innings of relief during Saturday's 4-0 loss to the White Sox. He struck out two.
Opener Beau Brieske was tagged with the loss for allowing just a single run, but Madden didn't help matters during his uneven relief appearance. The 24-year-old righty had a sharp 2.55 ERA over his first four outings following his first MLB promotion in late August, but he now has a 10.12 ERA over his last two games. The Tigers are headed to the postseason and have some decisions to make with their pitching staff, so it remains to be seen if Madden makes the playoff roster and gets to pitch again during his rookie campaign.

Paul Sewald RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Paul Sewald: Throws to hitters Saturday
Sewald (neck) threw an 18-pitch live batting practice session Saturday, MLB.com reports.
Sewald followed up a 23-pitch bullpen session Tuesday with Saturday's effort at Chase Field. The reliever could be an option during the postseason, if Arizona qualifies.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Steals base in loss
Perdomo went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Padres.
Perdomo stole second base with one out in the third inning but the Diamondbacks were unable to advance him. It was the ninth steal of the season and the first in 17 games for Perdomo. Arizona faces a must-win scenario Sunday to give it a chance at the postseason, so manager Torey Lovullo will want his best, likely including Perdomo, in the lineup.

Seiya Suzuki RF | CHC
Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Reaches four times in return
Suzuki (ankle) went 2-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Reds.
Suzuki missed the last two games due to a sprained ankle he sustained during Tuesday's contest, but he looked fully healthy Saturday. The outfielder has had another productive season, and he's set new career highs with 21 home runs and 16 stolen bases. Suzuki needs one more run and RBI in the last game of the year to match his career bests in those categories as well. His current .850 OPS would also be a new career high.

Joc Pederson DH | ARI
Diamondbacks' Joc Pederson: Swipes bag in loss
Pederson went 0-for-2 and stole a base in Saturday's 5-0 loss to San Diego.
Pederson was on the back end of a double steal in the sixth inning but was stranded there. The theft was his career-high seventh. Arizona faces a must-win situation Sunday for a chance at the postseason, and the Padres have left-hander Martin Perez scheduled, which means Pederson is not expected to start.

Tyson Miller RP | CHC
Cubs' Tyson Miller: Earns fifth win Saturday
Miller (5-1) worked around a hit in a scoreless two-thirds of an inning to earn the win Saturday against the Reds.
Chicago starter Kyle Hendricks was stellar through 7.1 innings as he kept Cincinnati off the board, but the Cubs turned to Miller to get through the top of the eighth. The righty delivered and then was set up for the win when the Cubs scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the eighth. Miller has been excellent for Chicago this season with a 2.32 ERA and 0.81 WHIP across 62 innings of relief, and his five wins are the most on the team among current members of the bullpen.
