  • Caleb Durbin 3B | BOS

Red Sox's Caleb Durbin: Sorry to leave Seattle

Durbin went 2-for-3 with a double in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Mariners.

Durbin posted multiple hits in all three road games and left Seattle with seven hits over 11 at-bats. His work also included two stolen bases, two doubles, a home run and two RBI. What has been a trying first season in Boston turned over the last three weeks. Durbin is batting .319 (23-for-72) with seven doubles, one triple, four home runs, 13 RBI, three steals and 11 runs over his last 20 games.

  • Kyle Teel C | CHW

White Sox's Kyle Teel: Activated ahead of season debut

The White Sox activated Teel (knee/hamstring) from the 60-day injured list Monday.

Teel is finally ready to make his season debut after missing nearly three months, first due to a right hamstring strain and then a right knee LCL sprain. The young catcher was very productive on his rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte, slashing .387/.441/.613 with two home runs and a 3:7 BB:K in eight contests. Teel will serve as Chicago's primary catcher, and he is starting behind the plate and batting cleanup Monday against the Guardians in his season debut.

  • Nicky Lopez 2B | TEX

Rangers' Nicky Lopez: Scores twice in win

Lopez went 2-for-2 with two runs scored in Sunday's 4-3 win over San Diego.

Lopez singled and scored runs in the third and fourth innings. He made a third consecutive start at second base and hit safely in his last four appearances. Lopez is slashing .333/.367/.404 with one home run, five RBI, two steals in six runs scored over 20 games since singing with Texas as a free agent late in May. With Josh Smith having been optioned, second base is wide open for the left-handed hitting Lopez.

  • Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Could return this week

Arozarena (hamstring) did some baserunning Sunday and could be reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the Mariners' series opener in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

Arozarena has already been cleared to travel with the Mariners for their six-game road trip, but he'll be re-evaluated Monday before the team decides if he's fit to return to action for the series in Pittsburgh. Since Arozarena was placed on the IL last Tuesday, Victor Robles has stepped in as his primary replacement in left field.

  • Wyatt Langford LF | TEX

    Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Dialed in

Langford went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Padres.

Langford played a role in all four runs. His three-run homer in the bottom of third inning gave Texas an early lead. An inning later, after San Diego tied the game, Langford's single put a runner in scoring position for Josh Jung to knock in the game-winning run. Langford is locked in at the dish, having posted four consecutive multi-hit efforts and gone 16-for-37 (.432) with three doubles, four home runs and 11 RBI over the last nine contests.

  • Rangers' Tyler Alexander: Working as opener Monday

Alexander will serve as the Rangers' opening pitcher Monday in Miami, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The left-handed Alexander will cover the first inning or two versus the Marlins before turning the ball over to Kumar Rocker, who is slated to handle the bulk of the workload for Texas. Alexander has delivered a 2.97 ERA and 23:10 K:BB over 30.1 frames for the Rangers this season.

  • Wyatt Sanford SS | PIT

Pirates' Wyatt Sanford: On IL at High-A

High-A Greensboro placed Sanford on its 7-day injured list June 10 due to an unspecified injury.

Though the nature of Sanford's injury isn't known, he was removed from his most recent appearance June 6 against Asheville after being hit by a pitch, per Anthony Murphy of Baseball America. One of the top lower-level prospects in the Pittsburgh farm system, Sanford has produced a .287/.425/.539 slash line with 10 home runs and 21 stolen bases across 223 plate appearances with Greensboro on the season.

  • Kumar Rocker SP | TEX

Rangers' Kumar Rocker: Will follow opener Monday

Rocker will serve in a bulk-relief role for the Rangers during Monday's game against the Marlins, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Rocker's best outing this season came as a bulk reliever May 19 in Colorado, when he struck out seven over 7.2 shutout innings. Tyler Alexander was the opener in that contest, and the Rangers will work with the same setup Monday as Alexander takes the ball first in the series lid-lifter.

  • Tony Blanco 1B | PIT

Pirates' Tony Blanco: Shelved at High-A

High-A Greensboro placed Blanco on its 7-day injured list Sunday due to an unspecified injury.

Blanco may be tending to a lower-body issue, as Anthony Murphy of Baseball America notes that the 21-year-old was lifted for a pinch hitter shortly after legging out a triple in Saturday's game. The first baseman is slashing .237/.319/.500 with 12 home runs and one stolen base over 210 plate appearances with Greensboro on the season.

  • Guardians' Stuart Fairchild: Steals base in loss

Fairchild entered Sunday's game as a pinch hitter working a walk and stealing a base in a 2-1 loss to the Astros. He finished the game in right field.

Fairchild pinch hit for Steven Kwan against a left-handed reliver in the seventh and stole his second base since joining the Guardians late in May. The right-handed batter started just twice over the last seven contests -- both against southpaws -- and hasn't seen much of an uptick in playing time following the injuries to Chase DeLauter (ribs) and Angel Martinez (foot). Fairchild is likely to start against left-handers and serve as pinch hitter later in games.
