The Blue Jays placed Corbin on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a left teres major strain.

Manager John Schneider revealed Corbin has been dealing with the injury since before the All-Star break, and the lefty will be shut down for "multiple weeks" after an MRI showed a strain, per Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca. Corbin has been pitching in a long-relief role in July.

The Blue Jays optioned Keys to Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday.

With just three starts over the last 10 games, Keys hasn't been playing enough to justify his inclusion on the big-league roster, and he hasn't helped himself by going 6-for-36 with a 35.1 percent strikeout rate. He will be given regular reps again at Buffalo.

The Blue Jays recalled Macko from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday.

Macko was sent down last week after giving up nine runs over his last four relief outings, but he's back to provide Toronto with a fresh arm in the bullpen. The lefty is absorbing the roster spot vacated by Patrick Corbin (shoulder), who was placed on the injured list.

The Blue Jays recalled Schneider from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday.

Schneider has slashed a disappointing .153/.282/.296 in the majors this season but has been swinging a hot bat at Buffalo with a 1.128 OPS and five home runs in July. He should see some starts against left-handed pitching.

The Rays activated Scholtens (wrist) from the 15-day injured list Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Durham.

Scholtens is recovered from a right wrist strain that's shelved him since late May, but he will remain at Durham where he had been on a rehab assignment. The righty has logged a 3.82 ERA and 30:11 K:BB over 37.2 innings covering two starts and seven relief outings with the Rays this season.

The Cubs are slated to promote Triantos from Triple-A Iowa, Geoff Pontes of Baseball America reports.

Triantos saw his prospect stock tumble following a disappointing 2025 campaign, but he's bounced back in 2026 with a .306/.344/.440 batting line, seven home runs, 18 stolen bases and a 20:44 BB:K. The 23-year-old has primarily played second and third base this season but has also made starts at all three outfield spots. The path to regular playing time for Triantos doesn't seem to be there, but the right-handed hitter could see spot starts at a variety of positions.

McNeil went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 15-5 loss to the Diamondbacks.

McNeil clubbed a solo homer to right field in the fifth inning of what turned out to be a blowout defeat. The 34-year-old has primarily played second base this season, though he started Wednesday's contest at first base, where Jonah Heim and Tommy White have also seen time while Nick Kurtz (thumb) has been sidelined. McNeil's playing time has decreased sharply in recent weeks, as his season slash line sits at .238/.301/.321 with four homers, 31 RBI, 28 runs and two stolen bases across 90 games.

Legumina will be the Rays' opener for Thursday's game in Toronto, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

It's the third opener assignment this season for Legumina, who allowed one run over three innings in the first two of those outings. Ian Seymour will follow Legumina in a bulk-relief capacity.

Seymour has been tagged for nine runs (eight earned) over 6.1 innings in his last two traditional starts, so the Rays are switching things up. Casey Legumina will take the ball first Thursday as an opener.

Larnach is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Cleveland.

Guardians righty Gavin Williams has reverse splits, with righties posting a .791 OPS as compared to a .652 OPS by lefties, thus the lefty-swinging Larnach gets a breather. Austin Martin will patrol left field and bat seventh in the series finale.
