Biyombo played three minutes in garbage time, taking advantage of what ended up being a blowout victory. Now in the backend of his career, Biyombo is simply a depth piece for the Spurs, only called upon on the rarest of occasions. In three appearances over the past month, he is averaging 1.7 points in 5.2 minutes.

  Biyombo will come off the bench Monday against the Pelicans, Jeff Garcia of KENS 5 San Antonio reports. Biyombo drew a rare start Friday with Victor Wembanyama (calf) and Luke Kornet (ankle) out but failed to do much with the opportunity. Kornet has been cleared to take the court Monday, resulting in Biyombo's move back to a bench role.

  Biyombo will start against the Cavaliers on Friday. With Victor Wembanyama (calf) and Luke Kornet (ankle) sidelined, Biyombo will get the starting nod for the first time this season.   Biyombo was included on San Antonio's Opening Night roster Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. Barring any further roster changes, Biyombo is all set to act as center depth for the Spurs this season. The veteran big man spent time as the team's backup center last year, though he's expected to cede those responsibilities to Luke Kornet and Kelly Olynyk (heel) in 2025-26.
