Shamet averaged 7.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 15.8 minutes across 46 regular-season appearances, including five starts, for the Wizards in 2023-24 before missing the final 18 games with a left calf strain. The 27-year-old guard will likely compete for a depth role in the backcourt, and he is a career 38.4 percent three-point shooter.

Shamet spent only one season with the Wizards, during which he averaged a career-low 7.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting only 33.8 percent from deep. The 27-year-old is a career 38.4 percent shooter from three-point range, and he will join the free-agency market.
