Collins will start Saturday's game against the Mavericks, interim head coach Mitch Johnson told Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News. Collins will get the nod under center with Victor Wembanyama (right knee contusion) out. Sandro Mamukelashvili and Charles Bassey are also expected to see time at center. Collins is averaging 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game off the bench this season, but he should experience an uptick in his usage as a starter.

Collins chipped in 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three assists and two rebounds over 15 minutes during Thursday's 118-105 victory over the Trail Blazers. Collins set a season-high mark in points during an extremely efficient outing Thursday. The 26-year-old center has averaged 6.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.7 steals across 13.9 minutes per game through nine regular-season games. With Jeremy Sochan (thumb) out for a significant amount of time, Collins will likely handle a more significant role.

Collins racked up four points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two steals and one assist in 14 minutes during Monday's 113-104 loss to the Clippers. Collins struggled from the field Monday, though he did tie his season-high mark in steals. The 26-year-old has played double-digit minutes in each of the Spurs' seven regular-season games, and with Jeremy Sochan (thumb) out for the foreseeable future, Collins is a candidate for an increased role off the bench.

Collins recorded 11 points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two steals across 13 minutes during Monday's 106-101 loss to the Rockets. Collins played limited minutes off the bench but finished the night with a serviceable fantasy line. As long as Victor Wembanyama is healthy, Collins is unlikely to play more than about 15 minutes on any given night. He can chip in on both ends of the floor, but without the playing time, he simply can't be trusted outside of very deep leagues.

Collins delivered 10 points (4-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and six assists across 22 minutes in Thursday's 129-107 preseason loss to the Rockets. Collins got the start Thursday since Victor Wembanyama was rested ahead of the regular-season opener Oct. 24 against the Mavericks. The big man will be a serviceable backup and should see steady minutes with the second unit, but as a reserve frontcourt player who doesn't stand out in any particular area, his fantasy upside will be close to minimal.
