Christie (illness) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against New Orleans. Christie is battling an illness, which puts him in jeopardy of missing Monday's game. The Mavericks could be without one or multiple of Christie, Klay Thompson (knee) and Cooper Flagg (back), which could lead to more minutes for the likes of Naji Marshall, Jaden Hardy and Caleb Martin. Christie has started in 21 games this season but has come off the bench for the Mavericks' last five games, and over that span he averaged 8.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 threes over 23.4 minutes per contest.

Christie won't start against the Rockets on Saturday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports. With P.J. Washington (ankle) back in action and Naji Marshall remaining in the starting five, Christie will join the second unit for the first time since Oct. 26. In three outings off the bench so far this season, the 22-year-old swingman has averaged 11.7 points in 27.3 minutes per contest.

Christie racked up nine points (3-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes during Monday's 131-121 win over Denver. Christie continues to see sizable workloads for the Mavericks. His output over the past couple of weeks has left a lot to be desired, however. Over his last seven outings, he holds averages of 12.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 2.7 three-pointers per game.

Christie logged 23 points (7-12 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Friday's 118-115 victory over the Pelicans. Cooper Flagg led the way for the Mavericks with a career-high mark in scoring Friday, but Christie was one of several role players who stepped up for Dallas in this tight win between two struggling teams. Christie was particularly locked in from three-point range, and his five threes were a season-high mark. He's made at least three three-pointers in six of his last seven outings, shooting an impressive 47.6 percent from beyond the arc in that span.

Christie accumulated 15 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 113-111 loss to the Knicks. After being nearly invisible in Monday's loss to the Timberwolves with one point and one assist in 19 minutes, Christie returned to his usual level of production Wednesday. Over 13 games since shifting into the starting five for the Mavs, the fourth-year guard is averaging 12.4 points, 4.2 boards, 2.7 assists, 2.5 threes and 1.1 combined steals and blocks in 30.8 minutes a contest.
