Dieng (finger) isn't listed on the Thunder's injury report for Thursday's game against the Magic, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports. Dieng hasn't appeared in an NBA game since Nov. 20 and has spent the last three weeks recovering from a right ring finger fracture. However, he's been given the green light to suit up Thursday, though it could be in a limited capacity given the lengthy layoff.

Dieng will miss 3-4 weeks due to a right ring-finger fracture, Andrew Schlecht of The Athletic reports. Dieng sustained a small fracture in his right ring finger while playing for the Oklahoma City Blue on Nov. 22 and is expected to miss at least three weeks. Dieng's absence doesn't figure to have much of an impact on the Thunder's rotation, as he's averaged just 9.6 minutes per game over his last 11 appearances.

Dieng supplied zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), one rebound and two steals over 11 minutes during Wednesday's 109-99 win over the Trail Blazers. Dieng didn't trouble the scorers, failing to score for the third straight game. Although he has cracked the rotation in every game this season, Dieng has scored in double digits only once. In 11.6 minutes per game, he is putting up 3.5 points and 2.6 rebounds.

Dieng's fouth-year rookie option was exercised by Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Dieng is now under contract with the Thunder through the 2025-26 season. The 6-foot-9 combo-forward is likely too raw to relevantly contribute to Oklahoma City's rotation in the upcoming campaign, but the 21-year-old remains a toolsy and versatile developmental case to monitor.

Dieng delivered 20 points (7-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds, nine assists and two blocks across 37 minutes in Thursday's 117-89 preseason win over the New Zealand Breakers. Dieng has made over 30 appearances for the Thunder in each of his first two seasons in the NBA, and he continues to grow as a player after being one of the youngest players selected in the 2022 NBA Draft. Dieng isn't expected to play a prominent role for the Thunder once the regular season begins in late October. However, he might get an extra look during the Thunder's final two preseason contests.
