Craig exercised his $2.8 million player option with the Bulls for the 2024-25 season Saturday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Craig will remain with the Bulls and will try to build his market value back up after an injury-plagued campaign in 2023-24. In 53 appearances for the Bulls, Craig produced averages of 5.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 three-pointers in 19.8 minutes.

Craig won't start Sunday's game against the Knicks. Craig, Dalen Terry and Onuralp Bitim will move to the bench after making spot starts during Friday's win. Craig posted 11 points and 15 rebounds in 34 minutes as a starter against the Wizards, but over his last eight appearances as a reserve, he's averaged 3.3 points in 13.4 minutes per game.

Craig provided 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt), 15 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 34 minutes during Friday's 129-127 win over the Wizards. Craig's 34 minutes marked his most played all season. His 15 rebounds were also good enough for a season high. It remains to be seen if the Bulls will again sit all their starters in Sunday's regular-season finale in New York, as that could lead to another healthy workload for Craig.

Craig is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Wizards. Craig will draw his first start since March 25 due to the majority of Chicago's first unit taking a seat for Friday's matchup. He's averaging 13.0 minutes through five April appearances but should be in line for a larger workload in Washington.
